This how to covers the conversion of an MSP passenger side radiator fan for use on a sedan/P5/MP3 style radiator such as the Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator

In the first picture the Sedan fan is on the left and the MSP fan is on the right. You can see that they are identical except for the MSP fan has longer tabs on the botom.

First cut the right tab just below the horizontal plastic plate as in the picture.

Now take the piece that you just cut off and cut out the center section just above the lower base. Now take both parts and sand the left over ribs of plastic so they are both flat. Also, the sandpaper will roughen the surface for better adhesion by the epoxy.

Use a c-clamp or a vise to hold and position the base on the fan and drill two holes for rivets or small bolts

Apply some good strength epoxy to both parts and rivet/bolt in place

what about the fan for the other side? Mine doesn't come close to fitting

Need to use the stock sedan fan for the other side...unfortunately that one was too far off to be able to convert :(

I'm a little short on time and money so after looking through the how to for the right side, I just applied that to the left side. Cut off the high moutning bolt on the right side, drilled a hole and ran a peice of aluminum I had lying around from the new hole to the mount location on the rad. the top left is fine. THe bottom right I just cut off the tab an the amount need to reattach the tab on. This is only a temp solution until I have time make a fan shroud.

As they say "Necessity is the mother of invention!" ;)

Thanks for the update. Others may be able to do the same....
