ever thought of a celica alltrac scoop? or maybe 300zx air vents (which the celica has some too)?

hopefully that should dissuade u even more, but there is a hood made for the protege with a scoop, or at least there use to be one. a canadian company called ACS made one that was actually functional. I could only find a few pics that truly does not do it justice. there is a pic of a yellow p5 on here somewhere with a dg lip and grille, and the scoop looks REALLY good on it imo.

DGM has this one for SRI systems. not a scoop like a wrx but it actually works. and i think f u can just fabricate a hood like the new MS3 it would look nice since it doesnt bulge out. thats why it looks bad. SUBTLE is the word that comes to mind with our cars

that's the one I was talking about...good find tonez. I think the hard mid line in our hood makes a scoop not an option. It just looks awkward with a crease up the hood and a scoop in the middle. I've always liked the dgm hood though.

this one might do the trick if its a little smaller and doesnt surpass the "dip" in our stock hoods. granted its a honda ( (spank) ) but it works for our discussion

the acs hood can look good, but only on the p5 and it has to be in addition to a dg grille and some lip, other wise it just sticks out too much

its not totally ridiculous to have a hood scoop if you dont have a top mount. its still used to keep motor temps lower than what they usually are (granted it wont be much)

i had a cf hood with vents on my sentra. i freaking hated them. all they did was let water land on the header and rust stuff to hell and back. but yea lol

I don't like the hood scoop idea. It seems out dated. Though I do want the front bumper off of the silver P5. Stock looking but not stock.

What is the point of the scoop on the silver P5 with the (possibly) functional 2-tone fiberglass hood? Sure hope there's a TMIC on that thing, because it looks, well, looks like fail.
