noisy little fooker ain't it?

i guess the gains out weigh the flaws... i wouldn't be pushing 10 psi without it,.
 
What flaws? I don't think it's louder... Just a little lower tune. Are you sure you have it tight?

I knew someone with a Perrin, and we were like wholy sh*T, this thing is Phooken loud!!! Come to find out, the bolts came out at the J pipe end... So it was kinda like open down pipe... Sounds like a turbo diesle truck.
 
it is VERY loud...

and when you blip the throttle and make back fires, i can see flames go out..



and yes it'S on tight.. no leaks.

that plus AWR mounts front and abck makes me hate to drive it for too long.
 
Hum... mine seems to have the same "sound volume" dbs, or whatever. And yeah, lol, rev just above 2 rpm's, let it fall to 2 and floor it quick and release = BOOM. lol!

I wish I could make a sound clip, but I will not be able to drive my car for about 6 or so weeks. I'm in Manassas, VA right now for training and will be sent to Toronto, CA for more training. I'm going to be flying this plane: www.q400.com

This is weird. Some people seem to claim it is very loud and others say close to stock just a little deeper. I want one but I don't want a loud exhaust note. Wish I knew how it really sounded. Anyone else have feed back on this matter ?
 
I have no idea why people think it's louder...

It's the same as the MAM was, and I don't remember anyone saying that one was loud. I've got stock back from it and before it, so the sound really hasn't changed at all, volume wise. Just a tad lower note. That's all. Wish I could get a nice quality sound file on it.

All this does is open up the exhaust system so the air flows free'er. Very nice, smooth, noticeable, power gain. Everyone always says, "I wish it was my first upgrade." It's true! Any exhaust system is most important for any turbo setup, whether it's stock or not. Along with good tuning...
 
hey guys, I just received my sls midpipe (high flow cat) tonight in the mail and it looks a little funny to me. Am I supposed to have the j-pipe and mid-pipe as one piece? Just curious. I'm gonna try and install it either tomorrow night or the next. And my mid-pipe didn't come with any gaskets or hardware. I hope this isn't gonna be a problem!

Yes... Get a gasket to connect the mid pipe to the resignator. Shouldn't be more then $5 at any car shop. Mine leaked very little at first till I put a gasket there.
 
hey.. Now we are in the same position; we both have an extra set of stock cats. are these worth any money?? Anyone know?
