I'm sure you remember when u first got your car, how bad it falls off in the upper part of the Tach. This is the only car ever, i can say I've never hit fuel cut or maybe never even red-line, Floor it wait till power tapers a bit, shift is how it goes. Usually my unmodified Speed3 falls off right about 5900RPM. For you guys with all the bolt on stuff and Map Clamps and especially MBC's does it still fall off? The drivability of this car would be allot nicer if it made power to red-line, not complaining, the torque is pretty crazy and fun, but some high RPM HORSEPOER would also be nice. Anyone still making power past 7,000 RPM or is our TD04 never gonna!!

Those that have the CDFP and little else seem to report that it will run much higher up the tach before losing power.

This, and a free-flowing intake (like cobb SRI) seems to be a great help.

Personally, I think its a fuel problem at the upper RPM's. A problem that is likely to go away if the car has more fuel available (CDFP.)

I've been tracking my fuel pressures at high RPM and it does not fall lower than 1680-1760 psi... What are the guys with upgraded fuel pumps getting?

BTW, I do feel the power loss at +6K RPM...

My car barely falls off in the topend. Between the cdpf and the bc It holds strong. Youve seen lalooshes video. Pulls all the way to 6500. My car is the same way. Im guessing 75% of that is due to the cdfp holding pressure and the 25% of it is the bc holding boost better. This is only my guess. Ill see what it looks like on the dyno tomorrow.

Stock diverter valve?

cobb is telling the dealers first week of feb!

i just spoke to cobb,
they told me they are "testing" the rx8 first then they will move on to the ms3. i would be willing to take bets that you will not see an Ap for the ms3 in feb.

Starting to think we may never see it. I wish they would just start taking orders and had a "Real" release date. I really thought the MS3 was before the RX-*, what u gonna get out of that for a stage 1, 2hp and no torque. Engine so peaky already and no boost. Damn that sucks, Driver, you may have the setup we all need if the AP never comes out.

well i dont have a cdfp yet and i hold power all the way to redline (6700rpms). once i installed my standback everything ran 50x better with power included. the only time i ever get a cut and its fuel cut, is when its 30-50 temp outside (i live in florida so i dont see colder.) but with the temps in 60+ i have yet to get any type of cut...

Dyno results?

on a mustang dyno....no fuel cut....car never pull harder before.....i know anthony(driver311)'s car got a better number with less modd than mine.....i have no clue why but im really happy with the result...gonna play with this setup this season....next off season will be turbo upgrade....=)

Damn, with all your mods I would have expected more HP/TQ... (huh)

mustang dyno are famous for heartbreaker....one of their subbie sti dyno at 320whp on the mustang and jump on a dyno jet on the same day back to back get 380whp...

how did that happen without a CDFP??

the tuner told me he can make the car run stupid rich with the stock fuel pump...but he did said sure it will help with a high flow fuel pump....and a better ecu tuning....hes talkin about cobb ap....they are a cobb dealer... i expected them to said that....but he said over time the oem ecu will learn and counter what the piggyback doing.....who knows....but i know im happy with the set up right now....next off season project will be turbo upgrade/fuel pump

Really? Mustang's read pretty low. I think these are great numbers for your mods! I just pulled 215/253 on a Mustang with just the Cobb SRI.

(hand) damn, overlooked the mustang part... So I would assume on a Dyno Jet you would yield over 300...

I retract my previous post... (lol2)

yea...but the number is still way low compare to driver311 311whp 371tq only with modd air box/test pipe/mbc 18psi.....i wonder did he ever get dyno again with all the new modd....
