MP3 lug nuts?

I just picked up a set of MP3 rims for my P5 and was told stock lugs would work. However the stock rims have an "indent" where the stock lug fits into and the MP3 rims are flat ... no "indent". Can I still use the stock "acorn" Nuts?
Also the car is up on jack stands now so any help would be awesome??

Allright maybe they are fitted for acorn style nuts ... but not as much as the stock P5 rims. I do only have a 16th of an inch (if that) between tire and rear strut tower/spring. Stock MP3 Racing Hart/Enkei w/ 215-45-17 does that seem like enough clearance???

Still new here and if everything goes well maybe even a pic or two when the clouds clear?

I don't know how they'll turn out...but here are 2 pics of my MP3 rims with blk/prpl flip-flop paint?! I was bored and put "shade shifters" pinstriping on and the wheels followed.
Everyone is leaning towards 215/40/17 for tires but wouldn' they be wider than 215/45/17? I seem to have plenty of wheel well clearance its width that seems "tight"?
