AZMC goes to MazFest

Four of AZMC's members travelled to MazFest this year. Jason (lazybusinessman) and Karl (rotaryman25) packed up in Jason's car and Tim (killroy) and Sabrina (Revenant) packed up in their 3 and headed over to California this past weekend.

Leaving Friday morning for California, the 4 met up for breakfast in the morning before getting on the road. After a stop in Los Angeles to visit Truc (tonkabui), an original member who has since moved, the caravan headed to the north side of Los Angeles to their hotel to prepare for a trip to Six Flags Magic Mointain on Saturday.

After a day full of roller coasters and spending $3.50 on bottles of water, the group headed north even more to the little town of Buttonwillow, CA, located outside of Bakersfield. After a night of rest at the hotel, everyone got their cars washed at the Truck Wash next to the hotel, and headed to the track.

Once at the track, cars were cleaned, camp was set, and naps were taken, minus the pretzels. We wandered around, taking pictures of both the show cars, as well as the track cars. AZMC brought home two awards from the show. Sabrina (Revenant) took "Longest Distance Travelled", and Jason (lazybusinessman) took "Most Sinister". The prizes were buckets filled with detailing goodies courtesy of Mothers Cleaners, Polishes and Waxes.

Az Mazda Club would like to thank MOCC and the organizers of MazFest for the opportunity to travel to Cali for the event.
