battery relocation

I relocated the battery in my DSM, mostly to get rid of all the clutter in the engine bay and doing so made it easier for maintenance. I went to an audio performance store and bought a splitter box that you can put your 1/0 wire into and install the other wires on the other side. It is a very clean install if you do it this way, just make sure the splitter isn't grounded or you'll be in for a surprise. The install itself is really simple and it doesn't require any special tools (maybe a heat gun for the heat shrink and a terminal crimper for a professinal install)

yea. I'll post them when I have a chance. I'll show you the install in my 1st gen DSM and the install I did in my friend's 2nd gen DSM. The install will always be custom due to the different interiors and how you want it to look, but the parts to do the job will be the same.

Here is pics of the 1st gen DSM install. Any questions feel free to pm me

The last one I included just in case any one needed some ideas on a guage install and where to put all of them. My friend doesn't drive this car for long amounts of time so he decided he could do without the head unit. I cut a piece of sheetmetal to fit where he's head unit was, laid out where he wanted the gauges and the swithes (one switch is to turn the guages on and off, the other a spare) then overlayed the metal with carbon fiber. The bezel is attached to his plastic piece by an adhesive called "Plexus"
