Woot might be picking up my 2002 Protege5 tomorrow what should be my first ups

Oh yeh got it back at my house. It was hell tho, I hate getting lost in NYC. First thing Im gonna do is change that crappy purply tint and get some nice black tint. I think the car is lowered already with springs, I gotta check cuz it does sit low and I feel the bumps more. I think it would look sick with some nice 17 inch chorme rims. Anybody here think so. I cant find and picks with chorme rims. Oh yeh the Car is black.

the reason u can't find any pics with chrome rims is........ well they suck on a pro!! imo of coarse!! just get some lightweight racing type of rim!! black rims with a polished lookes badass imho (probally because that is what i have but many agree)

rob

ok, cool what place do you reccomned for wheels. If I run 18's will they rub. I think the car alread has a drop. Im not sure I gotta check it out in the moring.

my car is dropped alot on eibach ground coilovers all the way down in the front and i dont rub running 215/35/18's

Here are some pics. The car is really dirty so it may look like scracthes but its not. OO and here are some other pics of my RC Helicopter Hobby. Does the car look dropped. Those are stock rims/tires

nice drop, but I wonder if it was lowered properly. If you look back behind the wheel, look to see if there are aftermarket struts and sprints. Stock was black. Blue is prolly Tokiko HP struts. Feel free to post pics of them, too. Hopefully, the previous owner did not just cut springs.

When I hit the breaks it sounds like they are grinding. Does that mean that they are worn and need replacment

Springs are red, I think they are ebaich

they kind of look like Racing Beat springs from an MSP, but you got too much of a drop. As far as the brakes, jack up one side, take off wheels. Look at brake wear. Did you take the car to a shop for an inspection first?

Welcome to the forum.......breaks are pretty easy to do on proteges.

Enjoy your P5.
