Mp3 wing...

could someone please take a close-up photo of the middle support for the wing where it meets the trunk lid. I recently got my car back from being rear ended and now theres a gap and theres some black tar looking stuff around the whole thing lookin like its been glued down, and i know it didnt look like that before. thanks

You definately shouldn't have a gap. I actually had small dent in my trunk when I took off the spoiler. That black tar lookin stuff though is probably the foam insulation that comes with the spoiler and is designed to keep moisture out of the holes so they don't leak and corrode.

Well i have the es protege and when i had the body shop install the mp3 wing they put the wing on and left holes in my trunk so thankfully i found YellowSpeedInNY and i bought his old trunk . Now i just have to have my dad ship it down or drive it down to me since i live in fl it is a good distance. But imo thats as bad as mine i would take it back and b**** a fit and have them fix it to the correct standards

Yea, i actually dropped the car back off at the shop this morning. i also found some cracks and chips in the quarter panel and a bracket missing on the right side where the bumper is bolted to....the damn thing was just danglin there...wtf. they had my car an entire month and couldnt get notta rite...

sorry to hear that . Thats why you have to examine the whole car b4 you take it. Trust me i know how you feel . I am more of a passive type person so i get taken advantage of alot . but this past new yr i turned over a new leaf and i am changin my ways and not taken s*** from no one anymore. ! make sure they do your car right . Stand up for you MAZDA !
