Sillicon IC pipe???

Yeah, it's some 2" (inner diameter) plumbing pipes from Home Depot with a silicone reducing coupler on it to hold it to the stock box (big side of the coupler is on the box). Believe it or not it does help and I'm sure with a hi-flow drop in filter it would be even better. This is just a temporary setup until I get a turkey killing solution in place and can then hook up a better intake system onto the MAF (already have it made and had it on the car, but it made the turkey sound in a very annoying way).

You can see it better in this pic:
Does the hose run down the fender or just close to the hole?
Thanks for the pics.

Just close to the hole - it's a tight squeeze and to get enough room to get into the wheel well you'd have to move the radiator overflow tank somewhere else.

I kinda thought about this before, is there a reason why I can't just build this?

Gasket on the filter in the air box keeps it sealed. You'll have to seal the air box shut to do that.

No, I mean, making a new pipe from the MAF and removing the box all together.

I think I have a date with Home Depot this week. My budget is $10.

Try looiking up the old Spool intake. I think that is how it was set up.

And I am going to, Home Depot is the new JDM hotness. I think I am going to use dryer exaust tubing and duct tape.

I've done the same excact thing but with a flexible air duct (for carburator engines I believe). Right now my setup is identical, but before I routed it all the way to the hole in the fender which kills the induction noise. I just pushed the bracket a bit on an angle to free the hole. Now it's pretty cold so I don't bother and besides I have a better setup still with my BMC airbox (I took it off 'cause I'm going to the dealer soon). Anyways, after experimenting a lot with the intake I must say that the stock airbox is pretty good, especially when fitted with a cold air intake hose and hight-flow filter (I use Green flat filter).

Yes, you can pull out the adapter with some force. I placed a clamp on both the Samco hose and the hose to the bpv so that there was tension on both (i.e., the one clamp is on both hoses).

Thx! It worked very easy :)

Not yet!! Can't wait but my car is at the dealership for the 8000 Km BS
8000KM?!!! Is that number correct? You used KMs, where are you located?

There it is! I finally installed it :) Since I also installed the HKS SSQV BOV I don't have a square comparison but overall it feels smoother and stronger.
BTW the BOV works flawless, no stall, no turkey, just a nice ptchhhh! :D
In the first try it stalled, but I tighten it a fair bit (almost to the max) and although it may dip sometimes at 5-600 RPM, other than that, it's business as usual!
