I know it's a little ricey, but I've been looking for those reservoir sock covers that say Mazda, to hide some of the uglier parts in the engine bay. Ebay hasn't had any for at least a month. So does anyone one know where you can buy them?

Hmm, Ebay had them for a while, but yah, I don't see them anymore. Are you into skating or any brands like that? I'd buy some DC, Elemental, Etc Etc skate brand wrist bands. It the same thing.

Peace

hey thats a pretty good idea, the skater band wrist bands. too bad i'm not a skater. but i guess i could just find some black wrist bands instead.

thanks for the suggestion. (thumb)

The theory behind them is to catch any crap that might leak out from the cap. If you had a properly working cap I'm not sure why it would leak though.....

I did this in my engine (a black one)... mainly to cover that yellow cap.

bump for my Q robot romeo

i think its the power steering reservoir, its yellow. and there was another one. my engine bay is so clean, just black, silver, and the red strut bar and the yellow things stick out too much.

if i can't find the socks, i might take the lids off and paint them. i painted my yellow dipstick with "aluminum" paint and it looks pretty good, almost metal-like.

Yeah I bought mine from ebay. I had gotten mine like 2 months ago, but had to wait like 3 months for them to reappear. Just keep checking back.

this is kinda what they should look like. i just put on a couple of wrist bands i got for racquetball on the reservoirs for this pic. the ones i want to get are black and maybe have something embroidered on them. they hide the ugly plastic.

some malls have a sewing station. they usually sew stuff on hats... mayb u can get them to do it? idk. use to have one here in richmond, va but they closed down. look in the yellow pages there has to be someone who can put in writing.

ya thats a good idea. if i don't find them on ebay within a month i might go get some "custom" ones made.

I'm sorry guys but this seems like the putting cotton balls all around the front tires at a show. I think the plastic as long as it's clean like the day it came off the line is great.

Those two things are not even comparable.

That stupid cotton thing people were doing like 5/6 years back was completely stupid and made to simulate the look of the car "burning out" while at the car show.

These "covers" are made to catch any leaks that may occur. I'm not sure who came up with the concept, but Spoon was the first company I saw them made by. I'm pretty sure they were actual Spoon also, not just their name pirated like many companies. I'm pretty sure they were legit Spoon. They serve a function to an extent and are not something totally ridiculously over the top like cotton around a wheel.

I'm not Pro-rice really... but I don't think there's anything 'wrong' with those covers. I think they look good in L8R's engine bay since they actually match everything. But something such as that should probably be at the bottom of yoru "mod want list" though. lol

Actually what I did was unscrew the caps partially then put the covers on so I know they would be functional. (eekdance)
