Organization: CART (Connecticut Autocross and Rally Team)
Place: Bristol, CT
Date: 5/4/03

First time out with the MSP, and registered in D-Stock instead of novice. Lots of hard/fast runners out there, and the Fastest Time of Day was a 41.6XX by an AWD VW Scirocco pushing about 600+ WHP that runs the Mt. Washington Hillclimb (insane car).

Day started out cold (40's) but we didn't start running till about 11:00am. Then the sun came out and by mid-day it was in the high 60s/low 70's. First time was a very disrespectful 53.XXX. Second run was greatly improved with a 48.6XX. Third went back up to a 49.2XX. Fourth was a 47.5XX and last came a 45.9XX. Because I was the only person running in D-Stock, they bumped me up to either C or B stock (can't remember) and I ended up placing 3rd (yippy). Not bad for only my 3rd auto-x ever and the first in the MSP. Ended up running 37 psi front and 34.5 in the rear.

The last run should have been a mid 46 sec run, but due to a developed pothole in the chicane just before the end timing lights, they moved one of the gates in and it straightened out the chicane (which made everyone's times about a half second faster).

My second run was caught on a Digi Cam, but not my camera. He's a friend who I haven't seen in about 2 years or soo, and he was driving an S2000 with a fastest time of 44.028. He said he would find out how to download it and e-mail it, but my e-mail won't accept large files (hotmail). I posted this question in the Photo/Vid forum, but if anyone can accept this e-mail and host the vid, let me know (PM me) soo others can check it out.

How big is the video??

Don't have to worry about email size, but I can only upload around 10megs to server space.

Good runs btw.

That car is nuts. If I recall correctly (saw at Mt. Washington and talked to the guy) it's actually an Audi 4000 with an Audi 10v turbo 5 cyl motor, with a Scirocco body. Might be a different motor, though, since he was only pushing @ 350-400hp when I saw him (couple years ago).

I'm sure that is the same car...wait, was it green or grey? This one was Green, but he had both of those cars there...this one had it's engine sticking out through the hood. I may be a little off on the hp numbers...that was what someone else told me...or he could have beefed up the motor since then??? Who knows

The one I saw was grey. It would be REALLY hard to get 600WHP out of that Audi engine, but it could be done. 400hp is more likely.

I have some pictures of that car at home, I'll have to take a look. I'd love to see that car again.

here's my MSP at it's first auto-x this past Sunday.
