our cars will totally OWN a lancer in a race. just thought id let you know, theres this guy around here with a yellow lancer and some cool wheels, not sure what kind but they look like hte Arospeed Crush wheels i wanted and i race him every time i see him...some time here soon im gonna see if hell race me for the wheels anyways, it started when he was sitting there all badass and i pull up behind him, he guns it and i barely put my foot down (i dont want to hit him, ya know?) theres a truck in the next lane piddling along, we pass it then i switch lanes and BOOM right by him, hit 80 on a 40 just to add insult to injury...that was a rolling start, but it might be closer if we went from a stop.

actually lancer is slow...and even for the top oz rally version (of course not the evo.)...they got tiny little alloy wheel..althought it's 15 inch..but it seems sooooo small...and it's not a fast car...i'm sure our p5 can beat it...

hmm, thats what i was saying, and i know, i hate the tiny OZ wheels on it, this guy had some 17s, btw, the OZ kit adds no power, so its just as slow as the regualr lancer

If he has 17" rims, then he also has the added weight of the rims to slow him down!

the regular lancers are not fast at all. if i recall correctly they have about 115 horsepower. my fiancees brother test drove one before he bought his p5. i guess that tells you something right there. the evolutions, however, are another story............

Actually they are 130 HP. I just saw an ad for the lancer in today's paper. This is in Canada though, but I assume American lancers are the same.

Maybe it was one of those sweet OZ Rally Edition Lancers. You know the ones that all it is, is 14" OZ rims and a badge and that's it.

They're probably 15", but they look like 13" or 14".

first off.

dont knock the lancer until u've drove one, their are some major differences from the regular lancer and the oz rally, i have both a oz rally lancer and and msp. I can tell you up front the lancer is no drag car, never was expected to be. The suspension on the rally is made for just that, its a lower grade verison of the evo suspension wise. If you ever though for a split second that the lancer would take you thats a Laff, cuz its not turbo. its a misley 120 hp car 135tq, but i will say its a smooth car, and fun to drive, Its peppy for what it is, and it'll take all those ricer honda ex's and new generations civics like no mans business, but it lacks in power. Lancer oz rally vs a 97 eclipse gs, he smoked me by a nose in drag, and on a rally style curved road i smoke him by 1 car length. the lancer isnt mad for drag. neither is our cars. But ya sound like it was a HELL of a kill beating a lancer and fact of the matter is. its not. You want a real race, race a car that in your same class, or something that you know is probably better than your car, so when you win its a kill.
