Sri Vs Cai

This has been discussed to death.

There is still one point people always miss in the end.
Even though the air goes through a turbo, starting off with colder air is better period. Taking warm engine air THEN heating it through the turbo then trying to cool it down through the IC can NOT be better then starting out with colder air through a CAI.

on the contrary, warmer air will spool a turbo faster but im sure you know this right, and how hot the air coming from a turbo into the IC by a few degrees if that, will not make a difference, a CAI simply will change your a/f ratios quite drastically from what ive seen on the msp dyno charts, which makes it feel faster....ps. look at drag cars, they run no intakes or filters on their turbos usually, for us when still using a maf that is impossible so if you don't plan on gettin an ems and tuning the msp, IMO a cai will be best because of the change in a/f ratios(leans it out a bit)

yeah, so wouldnt it be the same??? Im just sayin this cuz my friend who knows a whole shitload about cars said something bout how its just a vacuum and it doesnt flow that slowly, its almost instantaneous.

Ah, so your friend actually doesn't know s*** about cars. Or how a vaccum works.

No, he does, hes the only person I know personally that put together a turbo kit in his car himself and rebuilds his motor basically himself.
