I have cruised this site for more than 30 minutes looking for install instructions or a break down on this thing.

Where do the wires go ??????

and does anyone have this with a apex DP????

I need some serious help on this!!!!!! Are there any pics or clear diagrams on this????

And yes i am that jackass that has more money then car brains!!!!! saw that in a old post and thought that was funny!

exactly. plug the harness into the o2 sensor, wire power and ground, done.

btw beau, i could use another o2 :D

so the other 2 just hang out.

I talked to Apex motorsports and they said that the Apex DP was ready for the O2 sensor any one know if i need the stock one and this or can i splice in or what.

its to cold for me to look at it all right now and i would like to know a little about what i amabout to do before i do it. And i would be really pissed if i get it all on and have to go to a muffler shop to get it on!

Thanks for the info so far!

yeah but like i know how to read a bunch of number charts and s***!!!!

iM MAINLY HOPING THAT THE oops caps lock, apex dp is all ready to go!

The gauge should have come with install instructions.

The only advice I can give that isn't in the instructions is to have a soldering iron and some shrink wrap for your install. What you do is cut all of the wires right at the giant harness and then run the wires through your firewall. Solder them back up once it's on the other side, and cover your connections. If you don't do this, then just hope that you don't have any wires already running through the grommet on the firewall, because if you have anywhere near the amount that I did, then good luck getting the harness through there.;)

yeah agreed, whoever invented this dumb harness at AEM should have their ass kicked :D

cutting the harness is a bad idea.

Maybe cutting the harness itself is bad, but if you cut all of the wires and then solder them back up, no harm will be done. None of those wires are shielded.

i read on the aem forum, that some of them shouldnt be cut. i dunno im just goin by what the aem techs said (not regular forum posters). its up to u guys, no biggie. mine installed fine, i just drilled a new hole for thoughput cause of my other gauges too. im not argueing or sayin its wrong, i cant solder to save my life haha

yeah well good luck without cutting them, you better get a hole saw out to cut a hole in the firewall ;)

i even made this nifty bracket to hold my stock 02 wire and the new bracket.. go me :)
i just wish the gauge wasnt so huge.

So what power wire did you guys tap for this (Location, Color)?

I guess the gauge is always back lit since there is no seperate power for a light.

Damn after looking at a picture of 505zooms car it appears the gauge is NOT back lit...Boo.

Anyone?

I have searched and searched. I am just trying to get this info so i can istall this thing as quick as possible saturday morning.

The dimmer switch is only powered when the lights are on I thought...

I could be wrong. Any thoughts? I have my Boost gauge connected to that and grounded that one wire that allows my gauge to dim also. So I don't think the dimmer is ignition power.
