Tint question

Hey guys, I didn't get tint through my dealer on my msp so I could do somthing other than black now my question is should I just go with black or is there another colour of tint that would go good with the orange msp? Can you guys give me an idea?

Thanks

look into your local tint laws...i went with a badass blue(to match my mp3), and it got me a 10 day repair order, to rip it right back off,

it was quite costly in the end, and even more costly now that i've got black tint...so id say, just get regular ole black tint.

i was thinking that orange or yellow tint could look cool

but I decided that.......it may NOT look good, have to wait and see. if it does look good it would be really nice, but if it didnt look good it would be really bad. no in between there

i also decided i didnt wanna see everything in a haze of yellow or orange

I see cars around here with all manner of mirrored or colored or mirrored and colored tint. I have no idea how they get away with it (any tint on the frontmost windows is illegal in DE) or for how long, but I know I've been seeing some of the same cars for a year. A pretty good friend of mine had tint all around on his Accord coupe. It lasted about 2 weeks and he got pulled over and ticketed.

Having said that, the orange mirrored tint would look sweet.

I have a yellow P5 and I have yellow window tint. The guy that installed it told me I may have probs with the cops, but not a one. It is the one thing I get complimented on the most. My car is just slammed, no wheels or anything, but the yellow tint sets it off. It makes my interior have a yellow tint to it also. If I had an orange car, I would get the orange tint. It is also quite nice. :)

You next mod should be a new digital camera :). I'd love to see more pics of your car, but not before you get it.

Wow.. is that skunk2 coilovers set to the lowest?? both front and rear? What's the ride quaility like? I bet it's harsh... ;)
then again, it's all looks.... Looks great though. What kind of rims do you have to set those off? What % is the tint?

yes, that is the skunk2 all the way out height. THe ride is harsh at times, but it is slammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmed:) Not sure about the % tint, but it is not for keeping out the sun, it is so freakin bright in the car on a sunny day it is blinding. Most people just want to sit in it and look out the windows. Similar to hunting shades:cool: Seriously though, dude check on some orange window tint, the guy here could get it, and a friend of mine is doing his black honda with the orange tint. Just a little different:rolleyes: Hope this helps....oh, and I paid $150 u.s. to have it done.

I wish I could find a picture of the orange metallic/mirrored tint I've seen before. I looked but came up with nothing.

That Yellow look f*cking sweet man

damn that makes me regret changing my mind about the red tint i was going to get ... so i chickened out and got black

MP5Raycer, what % tint do u have?

also a bit of an opinion question for all of you..

texas has a legal limit of 35% on driver and passenger windows. I have a yellow P5 and I am debating between doing all of the windows 35% to have them matching, or doing the fronts 35% and the back and rear sides darker.. id like to have matching shades.. but then id like to have privacy.... it would all be perfect if i could go darker on the front.. but texas laws suck and i cant get another ticket... especially for something lame..

thanks guys.. and nice ride slamprotege5.

I can't see how cops would give you a hard time about the yellow tint, because you can see right into the car looks awsome though, I'm going to check with my uncle (a cop) to see if I can get the orange tint done

Limited Edition...I have no problems with rubbing. My rear tires clear the fender by about .5 inch. It is close, but has never rubbed. I will have to raise to get any kind of aftermarket wheel to fit, I have been told. It is fun to drive, just have to pay attention. My sideskirts are 4.5 inches off the ground, so makes for some interesting situations.:)

Wow!.
.5 inch 'til it rubs the fender? That's really close...Is that w/o passenger's in the car? Or with a full load?
the sides look lower than 4.5 inch off the ground...i was thinking 3.5"
