I think I have the wost luck. I need to just put 4 13" POS rims on my car. How does something like this even happen? What could be strong enough to do thid to my rim, but be small enough that I wouldn't see it?

A .22 round probably would have deflected, unless it was very bang on of a shot, and was at very close range, into soft aluminum... It seems unlikely that that would be the case... Looks like the rim is slightly warped, too, by the sidelong shot.

I really have no idea what happened. I was driving home tonight, and about 2 miles from my house it sounded like I ran over any empty 20 oz bottle. I stopped and checked the rim and fenderwell (I didnt see anything in the road at all). I didn't notice any damage the time, so I got back in and started to drive home. I stopped at a gas stating just so I could check in better light, and thats when I noticed the hole.

It does look like something punctured the tire, but the hole in the rim is about 4 inches away from the hole in the tire. The rim is still completly round, there is no flat spot where the rim is broken, but the rim does bulge outward(in tward the hub) about a 1/4" around the hole in it.

hmmm look like you ran over something pretty solid, perhaps a Bolt of some sort on a bridge or something? Also the tire could have moved while still on the wheel when you hit whatever you did.

I've seen far worse though lol. Saw one where a guy ran over a curb and cracked his 18" wheel in 2 pieces. That one was crazy.
One thing is for sure though , you'll need a new wheel
