are they really THAT great? im curious and on the fence as to whether im gonna buy em....altghough when the time does come i AM gonna switch to synthetic tranny oil....any iput?

They are great & I think that everyone should have them. Best of all, they are only $25! If you add Redline tranny fluid, it's twice as good.

Technically, the Kartboy bushings are shifter linkage bushings. The REAL shifter bushings are the Bronzeoil bushings from Corksport (mine get here Friday :D ).

easy to install, cheap and effective. one of the better things i did to my car.

the bushings made a HUGE difference...the lever was the same size as the lever from my MP3 which was quite disappointing.

Shifter busing = Very pleasing mod especially for the price

The stock MSP shifter is too "mushy" & it sticks in certain gears or is just plain hard to get into others.

The Kartboy bushings make the shifting more precise.
The Redline tranny fluid makes everything smoother.
I'm hoping that the Bronzeoil bushings firm everything up to complete the trio.

very nice, i think i may have to buy those bad boys, the bushings that is.....anyway to make the install much easier than what ive been reading??

I wish I could answer but I don't have an MSP... (read: wrong section try general performance you'll get more response)

to answer: they are great and anyone, tuner or not should get them... they don't get rid of the notchiness (they help but notchiness = sychros and tranny fluid). they actually increase vibration if anything (don't really notice a difference myself) because they are a more solid unit and hence won't shift around (absorb) as much of the vibrations from the tranny...

It's one of the easiest mods to do....I don't know what you've been reading...

I already had my exhaust when I installed mine, but I've heard the heat shield on the stock MSP exhaust can get in the way. The stock bushings is pretty damn hard to get out too...I finally used the trick someone mentioned of sticking a huge screw driver through & wedging it out.

I used a prybar to pop out the old bushing.

I run Redline Shockproof fluid, that and the Kartboy bushings made a BIG BIG difference in the feel of the shifting.

Buy some silicone spray lube the s*** up pull it out. Just like sex you need to wet the hole before you stick it in. KARTBOY bushings are a great mod.

I had trouble trying to pry the OEM bushing out. I just took a utility knife and cut the old rubber bushing out and then installed the Kartboy bushings. Incidently, according to the FSM, the torque setting for the mounting nut is 28-38 ft/lbs (38-51 N/m).
