Green coolant?

So across the internet, I found this
"
So I received an email this morning regarding this topic.

"Thank you for contacting Valvoline Product Support,

All our Zerex Asian vehicle coolants are of the same formulation. The only difference is the color dye used to help better match OEM coolant colors.

Our Zerex Asian vehicle coolant is the recommended coolant for both your Subaru and Toyota. You may choose to use any of the three colors as they are fully compatible with the OEM coolants."

TLDR: Zerex coolants are all the same. Just dyed different colors."

Then also now Walmart carry the Mazda Р-НОАТ ones too. $11 50/50.

I'm going with Walmart, I live life in the edge. Zoom zoom

But if this is true, it shouldn't be 50/50:

Mazda changed to the 55/45 mix a few years ago because of an issue with heater cores rusting

But if this is true, it shouldn't be 50/50:
Ya, due th all the engine issue. I'm going to use "PEAK Original Equipment Technology Asian Vehicles Green Antifreeze and Coolant Concentrate", to make my own 55/45 mix. A bit more of an hassle. But whatever it take for my baby to be happy.

55/45 and 50/50 really ain't that big of a difference. But if you want to mix yours a little strong, meh. You still come out cheaper than buying pre-mix.

Can you expand on "due to all the engine issues"? Is there a bulletin or something around this regarding the coolant affecting engine health? Sorry if I missed the details on this.....

"To solve this concern, two mass production changes have been implemented.
a) The concentration of the coolant has been increased so that the amount of the contained anti-rust additive is higher.
b) The composition of the coolant has been changed (the ratio of the anti-rust additive has increased)"

I need to change mine again in spring.. I’m just using 50/50
TSB says all CX-5's. And on your older model, I would definitely make sure to use 55/45 since it is more likely problems will show up over time compared to a new model.

Also, not only did they change the recommendation to 55/45, they also increased the anti-rust additive. We have no way of knowing how much of this additive Zerex or Super Tech are using.

Hi, so I went with Peak Green. Was an easy job, it's a sky active 2016 cx 9. I did oem fluids one for wife's cx5 a few years back. The Cx9 was easier. I attached the photo of Mazda at 126k ( darker one) with my new Peak Green. I also attach photo of what's came out of the flush. I didn't bother flushing with distilled water. Since it would have mess my ratio up that I wants to archive in long run. Probably do another drain and flush at 140k. Only cost me $25.

I used the OEM Mazda FL-22 in the newer 55/45 formulation when I replaced the thermostat in my 2018 CX-9. Given the existence of a TSB that specifically calls out the use of Mazda's FL-22 vs. a prediluted alternative or a mixed from concentrate solution, I decided that I wouldn't take that chance. For the difference in cost and how often the coolant would need to be replaced, it's just not worth it to me.

For the record, the parts guy at the dealership did mention that when they had supply issues getting OEM coolant in 2021-2022, they used the green Prestone coolant from Canadian Tire. I'd use that to top up the system if necessary, but for a coolant flush or drain and fill, I'm using the OEM FL-22.
