Added 440cc injectors and the AFR goes from 13 when nearing boost to 10.5 at the full 6 psi. Build complete minus some fine tuning (for now).
If you don’t mind my asking, what. Tune are you running right now? I’ve been running the split second for a little while now and I keep getting into the 9’s on my afr. Still working on the tune.Added 440cc injectors and the AFR goes from 13 when nearing boost to 10.5 at the full 6 psi. Build complete minus some fine tuning (for now).
Surprisingly I set every box to 10 while pulling 1 degree per psi with the splitsecond kicking in at 0.5 psi and the automatic ecu maintains 10.5-11.5 under boostIf you don’t mind my asking, what. Which Vortex FMU did you get, 12:01?Picked up a vortex’s FMU because the ecu was freaking tf out after 500 miles since the 440cc injectors cause it to max out the fuel trims.
I believe mine is 10:1 so I will be going back to stock injectorsWhich Vortex FMU did you get, 12:01?
Relocated my maf to right before the Throttlebody and the temp sensor is right after the air filterIs your MAF and Air Temp sensor in the stock MSP location or is it located right before the throttle body like a regular Protege?
Did you have to get a smaller wastegate spring to hit 5 PSI? How are you regulating lower boost than what comes stock on an MSP?Relocated my maf to right before the Throttlebody and the temp sensor is right after the air filter
I lengthened the linkage from the actuator to the wastegate. A few rotations is all it takes. Does mean it builds boost slower thoDid you have to get a smaller wastegate spring to hit 5 PSI? How are you regulating lower boost than what comes stock on an MSP?
Hm okay, I was wondering if you did that or swap in for a smaller PSI spring, is boost building consistently still?I lengthened the linkage from the actuator to the wastegate. A few rotations is all it takes. Does mean it builds boost slower tho
Yes it’s still consistent. Stock actuator spring. I’m running lower boost for safety since im in uncharted waters turbocharging with an NA automatic ECU. I need to track its timing behaviorsHm okay, I was wondering if you did that or swap in for a smaller PSI spring, is boost building consistently still?
I saw a kit online that offers a GT28 with it but I am worried about it spooling up too slow.Yes it’s still consistent. Stock actuator spring
I start building boost at a standstill as soon as I step on the gas. So I’d say about 1900 rpm. The torque converter allows for the engine to load up faster. You shouldn’t have issues spooling a gt28I saw a kit online that offers a GT28 with it but I am worried about it spooling up too slow.
What RPM do you start building positive boost
Damn that's not bad, what RPM do you build max boost at?I start building boost at a standstill as soon as I step on the gas. So I’d say about 1900 rpm. The torque converter allows for the engine to load up faster. You shouldn’t have issues spooling a gt28
I can build max boost at about 2300Damn that's not bad, what RPM do you build max boost at?
