What have you done to your CX-9 today?

A full can just before an oil change, most in the engine itself and some in the gas tank.

I just changed my oil with Pennzoil UP and the engine is noticeably quieter and smooth.
Mpg is a bit better but not like before.
I'm thinking it's combination plugs, tires and maybe carbon buildup for the additional mpg losses.

Interesting! I'll try a can in the engine oil and a can in the fuel tank when it's halfway to empty before my next oil change in the fall. I'll probably also do an intake/throttle body cleaning as well. I haven't done any of that on this car, so maybe it'll help my mileage a bit.

Did this yesterday.....

300,000km, 2009, all original w/p, trans, wheel bearings etc.

Change your air filters people! It's beyond easy, and you don't need any tools, not even a screwdriver.
Engine air filter is under the hood, pop two clips and there it is!
Cabin filter is behind the glove box. Squeeze both sides so the stops release and lower it all the way down. There's a white panel that's obvious, squeeze the tabs and the door pops off and then the filter slides out.

Have an Eclipse 3G as a project fun car to dabble in. Used seafoam to clean it out, idle improved tremendously. Overall, that car rides so much nicer with almost 280K kms. I use seafoam on all gas engines around the house...snowblower, lawn mower, leaf blower, trimmer etc.

I have heard people talk about it never tried it myself

Yesterday I had my dealer do a 2 year 24000 flush of the brake system. Today I check the brake fluid reservoir and it is bone dry. Looks like a lack of attention to detail to me.

That's a lil premature, no?
Depends on how you drive. If it's all stop and go inner city driving, brakes and brake fluid can take a beating. And if it's a weekend track car like a Miata that you hammer on every Saturday at Road Atlanta or something, brakes will only last that weekend!

I change the brake fluid on my two sports cars yearly, and I don't even track them. (Though I really want to. I have every intention of making at least on HPDE this year)

I change mine every 6 to 10 months really depends on vehicle use.

Got the summer wheels back on after swapping the old summer tires (Nexen Roadian HP 285/35/22) for some Continental CrossContact LX Sport in 275/40/22. There's a tiny bit more sidewall height with these tires.

Also ordered rear brake pads (Powerstop Z23). The original Z23 pads lasted for 3 years and about 56k kms before the wear indicators started making noise.

Dunno any your thoughts.

But try going up a muddy trail them lifted rigs have trouble one.

Sweet talked her the entire way up. wife said I'm an idiot talking to a car, but prove to me otherwise you sweet talk your ride they do things. 😇
