That looks like a future road hazard to me. Possibly a carbon monoxide poisoning in the making.
Assuming for the moment that this rig actually seals those two pipes together solidly enough so that you don't gas yourself, what makes you think that it will continue to do so? Did you at least loctite the nuts? (No color on the threads to indicate so.) You get points for creativity, I'm just worried that your jury rigged solution is going to fall apart once subjected to vibration on the road and extreme temperature cycles (that is an exhaust pipe).
If it fails it just falls three inches and rests on the subframe again... Then it's just a noise hazard.
It's actually lined up exactly where it was and is sealed as good as it was. It's a moving connection and the soft metal "donut" is in good shape.
It's in road test mode right now and I'm going to back off the bolt a bit then chew up the bolt threads with a side snips (locktite)
Of course the proper thing to do is replace the front pipe but there's no way it's coming off without wrecking my pre-cat and probably both O2 sensors....
I'm not opening up that rusty can of worms till I have to.
