Ignition cut

03.5 MSP
I have a 2003 mazdaspeed protege and here is a little history of it so it could maybe help out with resolving my current issue. The turbo had to be rebuilt because it was spewing a lot of oil so much that there was oil puddles in the intercooler pipes and even at the entrance of the throttle body so I don't know if any went into the intake manifold but I am pretty sure it did also the maf got contaminated with oil but was recently replaced with a new maf. The new maf seemed to help with drivability but lately I will be driving normally without even going into boost and it will decide to just want to stall for like a second like it is cutting ignition and it sounds like when you hit rev limiter and I press the gas but doesn't accelarate then it goes away and then the car drives normally again it does this from time to time, so I don't know what it could possibly be. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Is your maf in the hot pipe? I would start with spark plugs make sure they are clean I use a brass brush to clean them after reading for issues. They I would get a bottle of seafoam the type that has a straw for spraying in the throttle body. If you were taking in oil in your throttle body you wanna clean it up.

On a side note I would get an oil catch can.

No my maf is on the cold side it got relocated because I have a turboxs bov. Ok will check my spark plugs and see if they are clean, also I heard from someone that my coil packs could be going bad how would I find out? And also what would be the symptoms for bad coil packs?...will definitely use seafoam to clean things up, thank you.

As far as coil packs go and checking them a lot of Times you will have cel for misfires that could indicate coils. Most coils are rated for 50000 miles I think so you might consider replacement at 20 something a pop plus wires wouldn't be a bad idea. You just don't want to Chase an issue with just replacing stuff that doesn't need it.
There are correct plugs for our cars as well.

I would start with new coils and wires, and plugs if they are old. Frequently when the coils start to fail they do not throw a CEL. Hard to tell from your description of the symptoms.

I have gone through several coil packs and they're almost always bad enough to throw a code within a few minutes when they go. This sounds more like bad or incorrectly gapped spark plugs
