What have you done to your MSP today?

reminds me of the bcprotege days =( i dont even know if revscene still kicking. ive never actually met another msp owner in my city. though there is this asian guy who checks me out in a yellow one from time to time. i see him quite often so maybe ill try to pull him over sometime.

Yeah man. It's nice to know other msp owners, because there's not a lot of them and not every one knows about them, guess its the exclusivity. We gotta take pics of all the speeds tomorrow night Zealous

Yes we will. Any idea when all the Mazda's will be hitting the track again?

Has anyone seen this video? Kinda makes me mad because the synchros are bad in the MSP he drives and the power steering is failing. I wish he could've driven my car instead it doesn't have any of those problems and it's probably a lot faster! My friend likes the guy who hosts the show but honestly he seems to bulls*** sometimes and doesn't know as much as he thinks he does.

I love that show. I thought the video was actually a disgrace to the MSP. haha. Mine is running way better than his. And his isn't even modified, other than an exhaust and motor mounts. It just made the MSP's look pretty lame in my opinion. Usually he hosts very highly modified or high performance cars. Matt seemed almost disappointed honestly. I'm not sure how many of those episodes you have seen, but he usually has alot more to say about the cars. Plus, no offense to the guy, but it seemed like he didn't know jack about the car. Not even how much it weighs? I mean come on man. "I was hoping you wouldn't notice my syncros were shot". Does he even realize who Matt Farrah is? I think someone should contact him with a truly fast and functional MSP.

Where is he based out of?

I think he is in LA. I wouldn't really care much what he has to say about my car, I know how it runs. I do appreciate him giving these cars some needed exposure, people need to know what they are so a demand can be created which will possibly mean more parts made and more importantly the value starting to go up.

I know you all are jealous, we have a weekly meet with five msp. And at least five more in the area we just have to catch lol

That's cool, there is a group of four of us here in Austin that meet up as well

Finished up my maintenance on Saturday with the valve cover install and decided to go ahead and install my boost and AFR gauges. Took a risk on these guys: http://www.wide-band.com/ and bought their digital boost and wb02 gauge kit. The gauges work and look fine, but they don't have that overall finish that the main brands do. Anywho, it appears my boost/vac leak or whatever has been cured by the new CS intercooler pipes. Hopefully that's it for the maintenance for a while.

Oh, also did a headlight restore using a 3M kit on the wife's Matrix. The kit still leaves some minor swirls in the headlights, but I think that's because of the steps in the sanding disks. They go from 550 to 800 to 3000. I think adding in a few more steps would yield a smoother finish. It looks way better than before though and the lenses don't have the yellow haze.

Not yet but remember it was leaking from one of the hoses because of the gasket. I looked under my steering colomn and found this:

Idk if I need a new pump or just new gaskets

That is the steering colum and does not have fluid pumping through it. That my be some grease idk. There is a tiny o-ring in the low pressure side of the steering pump that went bad on one of my pumps it had galvanized due to heat cycles. That was leaking. But this car the shaft seal went out so it is spraying where the pulley shaft goes in the pump.

I was going to go on about the things he was saying in the video in the comment section but decided not to bother ahah.

Although I appreciate seeing an MSP on a show, it really sucks that the owner doesn't know that much about the car (above average but not enough :P). Also the host talks so much smack that I cringe every time he opens his mouth, I too don't think he knows what he is talking about.

What is this power steering you speak of?

Oil change on the motor today. Just over 241K on the motor and she likes to drink it now :( Would be awesome if it somehow makes it to 250K
