fuse for cigarette lighter
Picked up another AFC (V1) for $55 (lol) so I can drive the car again. Hopefully see it by this weekend. There's a Dragon run Sunday. Also getting new rubber for it. Besides that the only thing that needs attention is the clutch. Pressure plate is going out. After that's corrected, it'll be 100%.
It's been fine since rebuilding the built engine at the beginning of the year and installing my AWR deep sump. I just downed it about 3 1/2 weeks ago because I sold my AFC V2 to help pay bills and with the intent of getting an FTC, but the FTC fell through. Stumbled across this AFC V1 for super cheap and couldn't pass it up, so that I can drive the car.So I take it then Monday you'll be posting about how something else broke right? Hope not. It's no fun breaking things. You've got a history though.
Keep the MAM, what is the steedspeed worth to you?Just wanted to run this by you guys since you are all veterans of the msp. I have both a steedspeed stock replacement manifold and a mam stock replacement manifold. I've tried looking up info on the mam manifold as a means to make up my mind and decide which one I'll keep. I just sent the mam out to get it re ceramic coated so that's a plus. I was planning to bolt on the GT28R to it along with a pope downpipe and vibrant 3" exhaust. The steedspeed is currently on the car and has less than 10000 miles on it, I honestly haven't had any issues with it. I have to take it off to swap turbos so basically I want to run the best out of the two. Thanks
Ps- I searched as much as I could and couldn't find any clear answers.

hats off to valk for even considering dumping all that $ into an msp
That rod/piston combo is the same I went with- $800, ARP head studs- $110, Fel-Pro gasket set $100, Bearings $150, Cylinder head machining and freshening was FREE for me, but that's because I had the machine shop I've had do all my sublet work for through my shops do it, so they did it at no charge. I got a "low-mileage" block in good condition for $150 with 60k on it. Really, just cleaned it up and honed it. Even with having to buy a crank and 2 K1 rods on by rebuild due to oil starvation, I had about $1800 in it. I have a good relationship with the local parts stores in my area, so when I rebuilt it, they just warranted the gaskets and bearings for me.how do you mildly forge a motor for $1000?machine work is expensive
