Folks probably not necessary for this group but for some new car buyers - When you get home with your brand new spanking CX-5 check it over well.

Just got mine home and started checking all the usual items when I got to the tire pressure.... guess what... 10 lbs PSI over the door sticker!!

Will see the dealer tomorrow and notify him of the issue.

Colorado Red, which dealer did you buy it from? I'm in Colorado as well, expecting to get my 2015 CX-5 sometime this week. Purchased at Sill-TerHar in Broomfield, CO.

This is common issue with Mazda new car prep (and other manufacturers who ship from overseas plants). Tires are overinflated at factory so they won't flat spot on journey across the pond. Dealer is supposed to adjust pressure in pre-delivery prep. This generally happens about 50% of the time. This has been going on for years. You'd think dealers would learn!

Thang,
Got mine from Groove Mazda, however it was shipped from another dealer the day before. And as SlowAssSaturn below says "it infuriated me too"!

My dealer had a great trick. The deflated the tires and reinflated with Nitrogen (or so they say) and charged me $35 for it. At that point, my trade-in has disappeared around the corner and the insurance is done, not going to kill a sale over $35 - but it sure shows how dealers scam. Next time I am asking all kinds of questions before I hand over any cash or keys!

Mine were all at 50psi when I got mine home. Had to reset the TPMS as well due to the adjustment to the proper pressure.

Mine were all at 52 PSI. Not really worth getting in a tizzy over. It's very easy to fix.

I flew in to pick up my cx5 last week but made sure to bring a small pressure gauge. All were where they should have been but it is nice to know for sure.
I always travel with one.

I've already decided that I will be trading for the diesel if it comes this year as long as my $ are straight.

Some around here put a roof rack on every CX-5 in inventory for added profit...

I was fortunate my dealer did not in March 2012.

This was done in the 60's on rally cars to make the speedo reading more accurate. When a dealer tried to sell me that I reminded him I'm a diver and have the equipment to test the gas mix % he moved on.

I told a dealer two weeks ago that I liked the price of their grad touring awd but didn't want the roof rack. He said that it came that way even though it is a dealer accessory. Later, the price became the price advertised on autotrader + $275 for a roof rack (it was no longer included), then the $900 doc fee.. you can see where this was headed.
Pretty obvious why dealers oppose the Tesla sales system.

they don't call them stealerships for nothing.

i like the roof siderails. i think the cx5 looks naked without them. when i look on the mazda website they cost 250 if they are factory installed. 500 if the stealership does it.

Actually, in the US, nearly all accessories - as opposed to packages like Bose/Sunroof and Tech - are installed at the port of entry and added to the window sticker at that time. The advantage of that is that the accessory prices match those on Mazda's build your Mazda website. If the dealer installs an accessory, they're likely to want to charge labor for the installation.

Check the lug nuts on the wheels too. The stupid wheel locks were not torqued to spec. They also forgot to put the spare lug nuts back in the car.
