Corksport Lowering Springs Installed

No I wasn't going to paint the 19s. I might put 20s on though. I wanted to know what the 19s would look like lowered. They look pretty good. I might lower it a touch like this and get a set of the 20s for summer. I'll put the stock 19s back for winter. I know they are not winter tires, necessarily, but better than 20x8 or 20x9s

Ok, now I'm going to start reading the manual instead of checking out what everyone is doing to their CX5s on this forum - can't help it, it's addicting!

Interested to know how 20's go on the C/S springs..

Doesn't bother me. There was no rear camber adjustment. And it's .04 off if being factory acceptable. Not enough to make a big difference.

I know very little about car suspensions and the proper alignment specs. Can someone make an estimate of how bad those alignments specs are?...and what decent ones would be...

The first half of the photo is the before specs. The second half is the after adjustment specs. Anything in red is considered not acceptable according to stock spec. there are little numbers that are hard to focus on that show the range of degree that they should lie between. The only thing still red is the camber however, its not off enough to really matter.

That's debatable. Fact is, it's clearly out of spec and it's only going to get worse when you put passengers or any kind of load in the rear. That's pretty much what I thought the numbers were going to look like with that radical a drop. That's why I've elected to go with the H&R springs which generate much less negative camber at both ends.

Of course its all personal opinion, but my rx7 has way more camber than this and it doesn't show hardly any more tire wear than normal. Of course it is there but its not something that is that noticeable. To me, its completely worth it. But again, it all comes down to personal opinion.

^ that! and with the higher series tires it's going to make even less difference...

Getting the toe corrected was a big deal, and that's what would've killed tires very quickly...

"To me, the H&R seems like not enough drop and the Corksport is to much drop. It would be nice something around 2.5". I will install it myself, I did it on my VW. I'm not worried about the ride, it will be better. Most likely I will go with H&R.

???"

I really like firm riding cars, I had a 08' VW Rabbit and I loved the firm ride on H&R Sport springs. So, I'm not worried about the ride quality. This is not a Jaguar, or Rolls Royce to mess up the ride quality. I will be actually going with the Corksport springs.
It seems, like with the Corksport springs our cars will be lower then a VW GTI?

Can we get more pics of CX-5 with the Corksport springs installed on 19" and 20" or 22" wheels Please share and post them up as im itching to get some but I run 20" and worried it may rub etc.

Since I've had the Corksport springs installed, it seems more people notice the car, it's definitely different form most SUVs. I don't like the soccer mom look it came with and luckily it looks nothing like a PT Cruiser, even lowered.

Today I looked under the rear axle and I have noticed that there is a camber adjustment bolt on each side.
They are located between the frame and lower control arm. There is a washer with degree markings on them.
