I've wondered the same thing. I have a Curt hitch which has marginal fit with the factory exhaust. Others here seem to have had better luck and I think Curt may have made some running changes to their design. Also, the larger receiver hitch may fit somewhat differently than the 1.25" model I used. But with all these variables, you're smart to question whether the RB exhaust (which is the only aftermarket exhaust I would put on the CX-5) will work with anything other than the Mazda accessory hitch. RB works pretty closely with Mazda when they develop this stuff, so their exhaust no doubt works with the OE hitch.Anybody have both? Fitment issues?
Hmm, I may have a different model Curt hitch, when I put my OEM muffler back on temporarily, the only issue I had was that it was much heavier than the Cocksport one lol (being on my back on the ground and all).I've wondered the same thing.
