The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Anybody playing GT-6? Haven't played GT-5 in a long time so I don't have a lot of motivation to get it

I'd like to get it. It looks a little more sophisticated than 5. I think it was weird of GT to not go straight into competition with forza but I'm no businessman.

That has to be the most brutal legal hit this year. That first half the whole bangels squad was just taking a beating.

I never bought GT5, only GT5 Prologue. This is because once Sony removed Other OS after 3.15, I stopped using the PS3. It's been sitting without any updates and almost no use. I may buy a PS4, but since I've gone so long without using the PS3, there might not be much use in another game console.

I felt bad for the kicker. Hope he's alright.

That was a hell of a shot he took, won't be surprised if that guy gets fined by Rodger Goodall even though it looks perfectly legal to me.

Huber's hit: On Cincinnati's final punt of the opening period, Bengals punter Kevin Huber was blindsided by Pittsburgh's Terence Garvin on a hit that left the kicker motionless on the ground a few moments, and that ultimately led him to have his jaw wired shut before he left Pittsburgh. On the play the NFL is expected to review this week, Huber broke his jaw, and likely ended his season. After the game, Bengals kicker Mike Nugent, who relieved Huber and punted for the first time since high school, said he was saddened by the sight of the hit.

It looked legal that run back was full of brutal hits. but that hit on the kicker was just sickening. I feel bad for him but hey the kicker is just as much of a threat as any other player and he just wasn't looking in the right spot and got his clock cleaned

I mean it is a nasty hit but I don't really see anything wrong with it. The only reason it was so bad was because the kicker was looking the wrong way and got blind sided

RE: Bengals hit - yeah it was perfectly legal but only because it was a block. Had someone made that hit on the Steeler's player with the ball there would have been a flag, ejection, and a fine. Either way it was a b**** move because 1) it was helmet-to-jaw, 2) it was a sucker hit, and 3) it was the punter. Yeah, yeah the punter is "just another player on the field" but they're significantly less protected and how many times do you see a punter make an open-field tackle?

A few already know, but I've had this for a couple of weeks. Ended up with a PPQ M2 9mm, bit more than I had planned to spend but I love it. Took the CCW course yesterday, have an appointment at the sheriff's office in Jan.

Merry x-mas to me :)
