One of my concern/question is... My feet was fully stepped on the throttle, all the way down when going up Tejon Pass to pass a car, but the car wouldn't downshift to gain speed

Are you sure you activated the kickdown feature? The 2014's have a feature where the pedal SEEMS like its reached all the way down, but its not really. Press harder and it should downshift and give max power. There are a few other posts on the forum about it, you can search for 'kickdown'

Probably not then. I thought pushing it all the way down from idle/cruise would have activated it already, but I guess it wasn't activated then. Will probably try it the next time I drive a long trip which is most likely winter lol
