Awesome Motorsports Pictures & Videos

No, track was drying up but still wet. I was going for the wet line but the crappy tires meant the brakes were locking up (no ABS) braking in that zone. I went for the dry line after that and it was fine.

Revs drop as clutch goes in, come up slowly as you start to ease out of the clutch, then as soon as the revs jump up (ie: clutch gets dumped) it snaps around. Maybe change the camera placement to show what you're doing. Just going off what it looks like in the video.

It might be combination of braking and the clutch dump that upset the car. Hooray for getting the back end light mid-corner!

Looks like it was a lot of fun.

The way the car snap spun definitely looks like it was caused by letting out the clutch. You had just reached for the shifter and I agree with maff about the revs. But hey, we are just watching video. :)

Our photog finally posted the rest of the pics from our monsoon event. Here's a couple more good ones:

I think before our next event I need to install a bilge pump and a rudder (rlaugh)

Word is you need to step your game up too, aMaff. Phen was less then a second behind your times in a car he's never driven before?

I think that's more of a testament on how easy a Miata is to drive. Same thing happened when I co-drove with a friend of mine. My times were consistent and fast, but his best time was around 1s off of mine driving my Miata.

I'm always trying to step my game up. No one said I was fast ;)

Phen got up to speed quick, I was impressed.

And, not to take anything away from Phen's driving, but James is right, the car is VERY consistent and predictable, and it's not too hard to get 90% of the way there very very quickly. It's getting that extra 10% that takes seat time and repetition :)

Yeah when Marc co-drove my car a couple weeks ago he was around a second off my time as well.

Oh yeah. That car does exactly what you want it to do... almost telepathic at times. I liked it A LOT. And on top of all that... if I hadn't ridden with Andrew and saw what the car can do, there's no way I would have had the balls to go out there and push it off the bat. This I can honestly say.

You guys aren't letting me bust aMaff's balls a little. That's all I was going for. :D
