Awesome Motorsports Pictures & Videos

aMaff, Is the stering shaft loose in that car? Or is it just my computer that makes it look that way? it sure seems like the whole thing is floppy from time to time in the first vid.

edit, after watching again, the steering wheel actually came off. Twice! Holy cow!

Yeah, read the last couple of posts. My co-driver never checked to make sure that the quick release had locked into place before starting his run.

This is the QR disassembled. Here's the bit that bolts onto the splined end of the stock steering column:

And with the steering wheel adapter:

The bearings that lock the wheel into that groove never got pushed far enough onto the shaft to lock everything together lol

I'm finally getting around to uploading some clips from the videos that I took during my May 3-5 track days.

I'm currently uploading the clips of Tommy Byrne from the Mid-Ohio school driving me around in my car and my best lap of the weekend which is finally down in the 1:55s.

Waiting on the guy with the cameras to upload footage from the NHMS Lemons race I drove in. Got hit pretty hard by a Jetta... I want to see what the g-meters read!

Finally got my best run of the weekend uploaded... 1:55.16 on the club course.

I didn't know we had this thread... I wanna play

first time driving the MSP, stupid tight course but the car feels good

Who were you running with? That course looked almost as bad as the one in my video, minus the steering wheel coming off. Talk about being unable to make a decision about anything and have your line completely dictated with a course that narrow.

Nice :D

Video from this weekend. Finally a warm day to get some running in on the new tire package. I'm still very much getting to grips (hur hur hur) with the grip levels on these things. The last time I was dropping a second plus per run was back when I left ST for Prepared. It's that big of a difference.

That's queued up for my fastest clean run, all the others are slower.

You tried. Right? You didn't pack it in and go home. Good for you and the passenger. Zoom Zoom!

Oh absolutely, we took all our runs (though, I almost stopped on course for a downed cone as a reflex, and as I was about to thought "seriously? Dude, what does it matter in this crap?"). The black helmet is my codriver. I was wearing this. Note the little splash of neon yellow in the 1st pic haha. Unfortunately for Peter, it started POURING on his way up to the start. He too put on a rain suit once he got back... though he was already pretty wet.

First spin: unsmooth clutch letoff leads to the rear going faster than the front?

Also: "SSs" are spelled "Esses"

:-P

Glad to see that car staying on track though (well... for the most part ;))
