What have you done to your P5 today?

I think you mean the Starry Dark Knight hahaha

If I were you, I would get some glow in the dark paint and add some stars

HAHAHA!! In person there are these little sparkly glitter like stuff in the fabric itself that looks like stars, but unfortunately it doesn't really show up in the photos all that well. I have thought about painting some of the interior stuff to go along with the headliner (but paint it in a solid color that matches one of the colors in the headliner, like a cyan blue or a lime green), but I'm unsure how it would all turn out. Ither way, more to come! :)

Installed the low beam HID's a minute ago, but it got dark and I don't have a garage so I'll be driving to my friends to put in the fog lights (3000k) CANT WAIT!!!

threw a p0171 last wednesday and have been dealing with it since this morning... first i thought it was my coil packs since they're very old (ordered new ones), then i thought it was the upstream 02 sensor, then i thought it was a vacuum leak, and after finding it wasnt any of those i wanted to push the car off a cliff... turns out i didnt tighten down the egr valve enough after i cleaned it last month lol

LOL! I'm sorry but that is pretty freaking hilarious...and yet relate-able.

I've BEEN dealing with this mass EVAP leak code and cannot figure out what it is. I did the whole WD40 trick to see if I could find a leak and nothing. I have checked all I could, still nothing. cleaned out all you can imagine. Still...coming up with NOTHING! So effing frustrating..to the point I have thought about trading in my MP5. Every time I have done something new, I have reset it. I never thought about it before, but this EVAP code only pops up when I turn my heat on. I always thought it was a coincidence since I was dealing with this ALL through winter, so I turned it on frequently. Well this last time, I had rest the code after making sure everything was in good condition and even making sure everything was tightened. The code didn't come back up...that is until one night it was a bit chilly and I turned the heat on and within 2 mins, my check engine light popped up. Same code. This doesn't make sense. To me and neither to mechanics I know. Any advice from anyone at all would be so great! If not, then vent over lol.

Sounds like a gremlin messing with your car ;) I wish I could offer more than that.

Car almost died this morning. Im thinking it may be the EGR since you mentioned it. Battery light came on for a split second, then the revs dropped, then flashing CEL. Drove it the rest of the way to school, no prob. Drove back at 10:30, no issue except when I got into my neighborhood under light load it stumbled again. Ill try and pull the code tomorrow if I get a chance... At least we aren't dealing with the msp? (if thats a positive for us)

Anxiously awaited a phone call all day from the salvage yard regarding the arrival of the engine. A few minutes before 5pm while ordering food at a Wendy's drive thru, the dude calls me. lol Says "we have a problem"...my heart sank but not for long. Said the engine he ordered me came in and while it had 80K miles it looked like it had sat on a shelf for years and he was not comfortable with delivering it to my mechanic. Quickly added that he found another donor in Philly with 68K miles that is running and in a car that was just rear ended. He's driving down tomorrow to pick it up and will deliver by the end of the business day or first thing Thursday morning for no extra charge. :)

Glad to hear you are moving forward with fixing it up :)

Pulled my advance auto axle out to return it. Vibrated under accel, not good. Ordered OEM axle from mazda to replace it.
Also pulled the 505 Intake manifold off, to take a look at the MASSIVE CRACK on the back side. Loops all the way around the EGR block and works its way into one of the fillet welds on the back side. Gonna see if the local shop can do a better job welding then they did. So much for "You get what you pay for"

Callie lost the ac/power steering belt while driving on the oppsite side of the state. . . oh fun

Also, still looking for a P5 trailer hitch, anybody got a lead on one?
