The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I had a huge list of stuff I needed to do to the car this weekend...didn't even start the list and I had Saturday and Sunday completely free LOL. I had finals last week and it wooped my ass. Definitely needed this weekend to finally relax, or else I might have gone crazy!

evan, what all you need to get done on the car?

i have a bunch of things i wanted to get done to mine this weekend too and the only one i got to is testing an idea on my sub box to hold it in place since it likes to slide around... this week will show whether my simple test/fix is a viable permanent fix or not....
wanna get the wheels either repainted orange or paint them gold soon, gotta start repainting my GV grill as well. hoping to have all these things done before Mid Oh. but im not going to get my hopes up as busy/crazy as everything else is right now

7 Hours one way, a touch over 450 miles with some of the running around in NY I did.

i feel ya there man, ive made the trip to LRP in Connecticut several times... its a long drive haha

was the actual meet cool?

Thank you for the offer but not necessary. I'm selling the car. Thanks though.

sorry youve gotten to the point that you are fed up with the project and have gotten to the point you are selling it. the beauty of a project is that you could just let it sit for a little bit and cool off and then reassess what you want to do... no need to rush and ditch a project cause of some aggravations right now... I know we have butted heads a few times but if you change your mind i can try to make a trip out to help work on it, i still owe you a day (maybe more) wrenching on one of your cars since you helped me with my clutch and im sure there were other things as well

The meet was pretty awesome, other than the fact it was 95% MS3's (ok, maybe not that much). I got to see a few really good friend I hadn't seen since 2009 and it was a great weekend away. I do wish my wife would have come, but I completely understand her not wanting to sit in a hot car for 7 hours while being pregnant.

I have no motivation today as well! Had a great weekend @ OCC and made a number contacts that want to be a part of MOCO and the whole Mazda Corral experience! Of course whatever we work out our Pittsburgh and Ohio families will share in the wealth and the NEMOC family and any other groups that support us.

I'd rather not discuss the matter.

Drama, drama, drama...

booooooooooooooooooooo (I'm jealous)

A little over a month to go until the Auto Interests day... ;)

I learned an extraordinary amount about driving at Mid-Ohio from a couple Mid-Ohio School instructors (one of them being Tommy Bryne).

He mentioned it in his build thread.

Ah, I will have to go look at that.

I'd rather not discuss the matter.

I'm sorry you have been frustrated. I feel the same way with my 6. Been down 3 years, and not even for a fun rebuild, but because of failure. And now I think I need to rebuild my starter, which makes me even less happy.

IIRC, you have a spare garage spot for the P5, why not just hold on to it, but not touch it for a long while?

Sorry, you said you didn't want to discuss it.

Yeah, what others have said. Forget about it and walk away for a while. I did that to the RX-7 for 3 months last Summer. I was bummed it had been over a year and it wasn't back on the road and progress had really slowed. Give it some time and eventually you'll read or think of something that'll make you want to go out and just play with something. Once that starts you'll make some progress, order some shiny new parts and get right back into everything.

I caught Marlons ninja edit and unfortunately Evan decided not to extend the same courtesy to me as I did for him and I will NOT be buying the P5 back..

just want to say thanks again for that one Evan.. you have NO idea how appreciative I am.. (2thumbs)

I'm the one who removed the posts as well as locked that thread as asked. Any other issues with that you can PM me out of respect to Evan decision to NOT discuss this.

I feel you. Phone isn't ringing here so I'm at the internet's command. On days like this, Netflix is my best friend. I've been watching Batman Beyond

I would love nothing more than to relax and do nothing, but I have a ton of stuff to get done or to a stopping point before the end of the day Thursday.

lol im at a cubicle where everyone can see what im doing. im not sure using my netflix would be the best idea haha. and i dont have speakers on this desktop either. le sigh
