I wasn't very impressed the one time I've been there. I just wanted to try on a SA2010 helmet but they didn't have any out and I didn't want to place an "order" for a bunch of different ones and make them bring them up. I waited 20 minutes in line for the parts people before anyone told me this. :(


I have front sway bar bushings that were going to go on the MS3. Does anyone have a need/want for them?

ECS doesnt let you in the shop/store anymore? I went there years ago with my friend .and they let him drop off his ecu for APR flash and pick up parts as well.

Unfortunately he tells it like it is. He has a crap ton of experience and a lot of people refuse to acknowledge that when he gives advice. Granted, he couldbe a bit more diplomatic about it. Anyone remember Edwin (TheMan)? He was the same way. The scary thing is Brian is actually pretty level-headed compared to some of the hardcore rotary experts I know.

It isn't that. He fronts all this inifo about his car, but has nothing to prove anything he says about what his car can do . Oh well.
 
Numbers and proving to everyone else is about as important as tits on a bull. His project, his love, his opinion of his car. **** everyone else. Simple as that.

Well s***, in that case my P5 does 180mph and has 400whp.

All the knowledge in the world doesn't give you a free pass to act like a douche bag. There was a time when ALL of us on here didn't know how to change our oil. And a parts list doesn't mean you're better than anyone else. Just means you have a lot of money.

I've not seen any numbers associated with the current revision but there should be plenty of information out about his previous setup. Afterall, he's been on the forums, more or less, since 2002. I think he has his own website dedicated to the car but I've never checked it out (sorry, I don't care too much about Proteges anymore). The only s*** storm I've seen recently involves his feelings toward superchargers (more specifically "twin-charging"), which unfortunately are correct. Pound-for-pound, dollar-for-dollar, HP-for-HP, a turbocharger setup is going to be better. There's no reason to supercharge a Protege unless you're showing off.

True for the most part but when you go around spouting HP and torque numbers you have to back it up. Remember Miguel (on more than one occasion)? At least we know Brian works on his own car.

Thank you! I understand that your car is probably fast, but don't blab to everyone it does a certain mph or has this much power. Sounds like a "my dick is bigger than your dick" comment and who really cares unless you gonna flop it out there. NO HOMO!

It's unique and sounds badass. Or they could be like the other thousands of P5's with an MSP setup. Meh. But I agree, a turbo is more efficient.

I supercharged mine cause anyone can buy a bolt on Turbo kit for our cars and be done. Not only does the SC sound better IMO i can tell you for a fact NO one else has the setup that i do. We all enjoy modding cars and enjoying working on them, if i wanted to copy everyone I would call up Dino and buy his turbo kit, call up the Haltech dealer and buy the system, harness and have it wired up. boom done in a weekend and i have a "fast" car. When did modding cars become so "Bolt" on. I mean i've followed your Rx build and its not a "bolt" on thing either and i respect that more than MP5Ts build.

Man screw all you. I had my CBR 250 up to the speed limiter going 140 down rt 21 the other day!

And my Smart did a mofo'n wheelie when I shifted into second the other day.









If you're going to talk s***, at least back it up.

This conversation sounds vaguely familiar... Didn't a "what is real modding" conversation happen fairly recently.

Anyways... I'm going to go bolt s*** on my car now! :D
