The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I don't have cable. But I haz Netflix, best thing in the world. So much cheaper than cable and no commercials. I got the wireless network all hooked up in the new house last night. I've got the Xbox on the big tv in the living room with Netflix. Then the smaller 46" TV in my bedroom I can hook up to my laptop and stream Netflix and that YouTube video above. I love technology!

Random question:

So i had a CEL for P401 (insufficient egr flow i believe) pop up in december. Unplugged my battery while working on the wiring for my gauge pod right before new years. 4,500 miles later, no CEL...however Evap system is showing not ready when plugged into an OBD scanner. I have an echeck to pass in february. Shouldnt it have read the fault by now and turned the CEL on by now?

You'll have to check the requirements for that Evap system on your car, it will be a combination on driving scenarios: highway speed for x miles + city speed for x miles, etc. With that mileage, it should have gone through the cycle but you might have 'missed' something. Then again, my truck hadn't passed some of those when I did my echeck. I cleared the CEL, drove it for 2 days, had it checked (and passed), CEL came back later that day.

we are now the proud (and excited) owner's of a brand new 2013 mazdaspeed3. I called to get her insured and the lady asked if i was replacing a car. I said "No, we are adding. One can NEVER have too many mazdas!!!" she chuckled ...

woohoo!

Yeah, i figured after that many miles itd run the check itself. Looks like ill have to clean the egr while its warm out and see what happens

We'll have pics up when Lauri gets home, she's in the garage now waiting on her big sisters to come home.

My brother needs new rear pads for his 3 and I was thinking some Hawk HPS's. Where do people recommend I send him to buy? I was thinking Protege Garage.

if he wants them this year, I would go somewhere else

Congrats on the new addition Marlon and Lauri!!! No FB for me so I'll have to wait for someone else to leak pics. :p

Fiji do some price comparison between PG, Tire Rack, Crossover Auto, US Auto Parts, Rock Auto, Summit, Speed Circuit...just a few off the top of my head. Speaking of, the wife's 3 will need front pads within the next few months. Passed inspection but measured in at 4 so they said to check back in 3-4 months. Think I'll just swap them out in April but need to decide on which ones to buy.

Nice pics Pablo!!! Boy that Bugatti corral had a lot of open space. ;) lol And good job photoshopping the new 6 on the track amongst other cars. :( Was sad that they didn't fare well in their debut.
