What did you pay for your CX-5?

I got a pretty good deal with $400 below invoice on a my14 Touring w/Bose and moonroof. They offered me $900 off a MY13 but wanted the 2.5l motor.

can you advise where and with what sales agent? or PM me the info - at the moment ready to buy just driving myself mad if I should lease or buy.

I'm wondering if those that are posting that they got $XXX below invoice are confusing invoice with MSRP. AFAIK, Mazda is not offering as favorable dealer incentives on 2014 models as they are on the 2103 ones. I don't think we're getting the true picture of what's going on in the market place.

I wonder the same thing when I see several hundred under invoice. It could also be the people are not considering the dealer profit items like doc fees. For example my quote was for MSRP of 25,410 less a 1,600 discount. Now they add on 599 for prep and 150 for title transfer, not to be confused with the actual out of pocket costs to register the vehicle. The math is 25,410-1600+599+150=24559. Invoice is 24704 so I am at 145 under invoice. Of course I have sales tax and registration so I am out the door at 26,168 plus I get 2 oil changes that I am going to try to swap out for something else.

Yeah, that's like saying you got $5000 off the dealer's posted price when the "posted price" is $5000 above MSRP, as some of those come on advertisements tout.

Gotta love the car biz. I am trying to swap the oil changes for all weather floor mats and the cargo tray and they want to negotiate. The $ value is under $140 and it is now, how about if we do one of them since our cost of the oil changes is not much. Well for me they are about $60 each and the dealer is an hour away. Screw it, it is all or none. I have to wait a month for delivery anyway so my pricing is not going to get any worse.

2014 (yes MY14) CX5 Touring with Bose, moonroof, wheel lock, and floor mats.

MSRP was about $27000 (ballpark as I don't remember exact $)
I got it for $25600 + tax and license.

They offered me the 2013 but I wanted the 2.5L. 2013 model they offered $900 off invoice but I could of worked it to $1500 off invoice if I wanted to. I also got $100 off MSRP from another dealer but the sales man was rude so I didn't even try negotiating with them.

BTW...i buy a car almost on an annual bases due to the amount of miles I run up on them. I put 30k a year roughly. I compared with the Rav4 and CRV and chose the CX5 instead.

Sounds about right, invoice is $25710, so about $100 under.

I doubt if anyone is going to get $400 under invoice right now, but who knows. I just put my deposit down this AM for a Touring FWD in Liquid Silver. $24579 plus actual tax and transfer, plus all weather floor mats, cargo tray and a $50 gift card so I guess after it was all said and done it came to $125 under invoice plus the extras which to me are worth something. I am satisfied now I have to wait a month to get the car.

I got roof rack, floor mat, wheel locks, Bose and moon roof. Invoice is listed at $26000.

from Edmunds.com and to clarify it's a 2014 not a 2013.

NetJunky, where did you get your CX5 from?

I'm from SoCal as well and I currently have an offer for $400 under invoice at one of the local dealer. Did the dealer budge on the price at all when you tried to negotiate?

I went in to test drive the new 6 (6 speed) oh so smooth. The clutch soft, the shifting just no notchiness whatsoever, very good handling. Then I test drove the 2014 CX5 2.5 AWD. The new motor is much welcomed with less of an effort for on ramps and general traffic. I mentioned the S Plan and my sales guy came back with a price sheet stating invoice pricing. Since it's my wife that qualifies, he said they'd just give me invoice pricing rather than jumping through the hoops of whoever qualifies for that plan. But man do the options add up quick. Add in AWD, Tech package, Bose & Moonroof on the Touring, then it's just shy $2k of the Grand Touring so I end up thinking why not get the GT? Then it shoots up to $31,490! MSRP that is.

2013 GT AWD @ invoice. Maybe should have held out for 2014, but went with Zeal Red and like it more than the new shade. Traded my 9 year old Acura TSX (which I LOVED) and not looking back. Love the new CX-5. Not disappointed with the '13 power plant. My last Mazda was a '86 626 GT turbo (best car I ever owned). So happy that Mazda is back to their roots!

Just signed for a white/sand 2014 GT AWD at 29.5. I know I didn't get the "best" deal, but I'm happy with it. Will pick up on Monday.

I also test drove a 2013 GT and there was a very noticeable performance difference between the two! This was the first 2014 to hit the dealer and I was the first one to drive it. :)
