unlocking issue with GT model

My CX-5 GT just turned 10000kms the past week. There is absolutely no issue in the first 10k kms and I'm very satisfied with it. It handles great with stock 19' tires on snow as well. However, I just noticed a problem these two days as the button on the door handle does't work when unlocking the vehicle. Usually when the car is locked, I pressed the button on the door handle the driver's door will unlock, now when I press the button, the car simply lock all doors again with one beep sound. If I continue to push the button, the car simply keeps locking it with one beep sound each time. Do you guys think it's because the cold weather here in GTA or it needs a fix? Does it relate to the car or the key?

Does it act the same with either remote in your pocket? Could it be a remote battery?

Well I can use the remote to unlock the car, but just feel that it's not convenient to take the key out of pocket. Also it's frustrating to know that my beloved car lost a very useful feature.(deadhorse

At least it's under warranty if anything is wrong. Might just be due to the cold.

Update: dropped my car at the dealer and they solved it in less than an hour, didn't know what cause the problem cuz my gf drove the car out and she never bothered asking. There is also a Mazda 3 gt model had the same issue at the dealer so this defect may be universal.

Can I suggest that you find out and report back please? I'm thinking if might prove useful to others in the community in the future.

Thanks!
