I changed the instrument cluster to STOCK version, because the JDM version is only has 180KMH. When on highway I speed up to more than 180KMH, but the GPS show me it was more than 180KMH, so I decide to STOCK version. The stock version has 220KMH and besides the steering wheel is on the wrong side (scratch)

inside of the trunk, all of you must be curious with that box on it

Wait, back up sensors?

...and if MazdaUSA is wondering why the 2's sales are small, maybe they should have brought over this bumper...

Blue piping! Holy crap! Yeah I noticed your guage and was stunned. What wheels are those? Post pics of intake and Headlights and close up of bumper floodlight area please. Somebody hand me some peanut butter to go with my jelly. :)

I agree. Maybe instead of giving us the argubly worst, least sporty and cheapest looking 2 with the smallest amount of options in the entire world they could have marketed it as the sporty hot hatch it deserves to be. I love how in all of the offical Mazda 2 concept and B spec cars they always have the Tailights and headlights the rest of the world gets standard, except for us. Its like Mazda even knows they look cheap (notcool).

Anyways, The Car looks awesome! Those JDM gauges are amazing!

Dude, you sound just like me and Ryno666. haha

I can go on for hours about this subject. It's bull crap. It happens not just with our Mazda 2's but with a lot of other cars brands. Hatchbacks are hated in the US so in turn most automobile manufactures send over the cheapest possible versions to the US. Because "supposedly" American's won't buy premium hatchbacks. Instead of following the Mini, Fiat 500 and GTI model, which are very successful premium hatchbacks, they go the cheap route because they are too afraid to risk anything.

I also really don't get why Mazda had so many different Mazda 2 concepts commissioned and we haven't seen any of them. Not one word of a MAZDASPEED2. Those concept bumpers? Totally available to some Asian countries. Those projector headlights? Yep, other countries. America is the black sheep of the automobile industry.

Yeah, I'm sick of it. I had to order the JDM tailights off of a wrecker on eBay(which were pretty cheap by the way, only 200 bucks) because I was sick of the fisher price look. It's the small things that make a difference sometimes.

What annoys me is that the platform has such potential that is being squandered. Add 50HP, bring the 3 door over, and add a few new suspension bits and it could easily contend as a cheaper alternative to the Cooper S and Abarth. Mazda is a niche brand anyways, why not embrace that and provide something unique?

I got them a while ago myself through my source in Thailand. First thing i did actually. Most people don't notice the nuances with things like this. Glad someone shares my views. OEM taillights look more upscale than the US Taillights that look like they were designed in 1995. Same goes for the OEM rear bumper.

You're preaching to the choir my friend. All good points and all something Mazda should do. You are 100% right about Mazda being a niche brand. One that brands their products as sporty driver cars. :(

the wheels is Volk Rays TE37SL edition 17 4x100 from Rays Engineering http://www.rays-msc.com/wheels/index.cgi?d=106. Alright I'll post another picture of this car, especially the engine bay.

Back up sensors? do you mean reverse sensor? yeah, every Mazda2 here has reverse sensor, and it is integrated with reverse camera and audio kit. It's like parking assist to me LOL. And Mazda2 here is all the way CBU from Thailand. about the bumpers, I don't kinda like the front bumpers with that fancy shining things on the foglamp, I like USDM models and JDM models because its looks simple and clean.

Nice demio... i bought my air conditioner/heater knobs off of EBAY... they shipped in from China... let me know if you still can't find them... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Refitting-M...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4abd7a6344&vxp=mtr ..

try that link..

thank you captain (dance) okay, will try (lol2)

Cooper S and Fiat Abarth is Premium Hatchbacks here and the price is really expensive the price is more than Mazda3 and Ford Focus and VW Golf TSI. For a 2003 Mini Cooper they took a price like at least 30.000USD, and for a Fiat Abarth is more than that its like 50.000USD. its really expensive because the government and the customs consider cars from importer as Luxury Cars so the taxes becomes expensive. Because mazda2 has sole agent in Indonesia its not really expensive has Abarth even its CBU thailand. well I must say Indonesian Regulation and Indonesian automotive industry sucks! everything about automotive in Indonesia is expensive!

Mazda2 S (its like Sport trim level in US and it has same front bumper like you guys do) is 18,229USD and the Mazda2 R (its top trim level in Indonesia) is 20,937.
the different between S trim level and R trim level is the S trim level don't have a fog lamp, and its only has 1 airbag on the driver side, 15 inch alloy wheels, audiokit (with GPS, TPMS, Reverse Sensor, Parking Camera), and it don't have body kit just like R trim level do. and the R trim level came with bodykit, 16 inch alloy wheels, 2 airbags (driver and the passanger side), foglamp, fancy front bumpers and a audiokit with same features like S trim level.

Man I knew they were Volks, but that badge on the spoke was throwing me off, nice. How much did they set you back, they are very expensive usually. I have only sold a handful in the past. I wish we had R trim I wouldn't be forced into making my own like I have!
