What have you done to your MSP today?

Whats the trick to getting the fuel lines off the damn fuel pump on these cars? Thats the only thing keeping me from pulling the b**** out and replacing it! I will tackle this again after work. Didnt get much done on it yesterday due to helping my buddy replace the water pump in his grand am.. Would of been done with that a lot sooner but the old gasket was being a pita and wouldnt come off. Plus I was makign him do the b**** work so that took a little longer.

When you push the brake pedal the MC itself flexes and moves. The brace Pitts pressure against it stopping the movement and giving you a solid pedal as the deflection in the MC is greatly reduced if not eliminated. Had one in my S2000. Was a marvelous thing.
I thought this was discussed before and the protege didn't have any movement. a 929 MC is an option you might want to consider, it bolts right in.

I've had the CS lines for about 3 years now and love it compared to stock.

I'll have my buddy actually check for deflection to see if there is any. Theres no way there isnt any at all.

If the little screw that's on the fual pressure regulator is not screwed in at all, could that cause any issues and be a reaaon why I'm getting the P0421 code .... DSCN4287.jpg

Does anyone know what the wire connected to the power steering pump does. It can disconnect the other day and the pump locked up the pulley . I placed the pump last night and today somehow my sensor/connecter to the PS pump broke off and the ps on in and out. Any clue on what it does?

That makes since on why it would lock up the and fail if it won't let the fluid push and pull. Going to the junk yard tomorrow probably to pull one out and then have to flush out the fluid a couple times to get the cooked synthetic out. It looks like the same color as a Tim Hortons Ice Cap.

It's a pressure-sensing switch which "ups" the idle to compensate for the extra load on the engine.

NO! I'm fairly certain I explained this to you, like, four days ago... It's a catalyst "death code"...

If you still have converters, you'll need a converter.
If you do not, then you'll need an O2 emulator. I just installed one in an MPV for someone and it corrected the issue. Go to a parts store and tell them you need Dorman part number 42009. You will have two pieces in the package. Drill the end of one of them out completely. Thread that one into the other one. Install in O2 bung. Install O2 sensor into the "emulator" (non-fouler). Clear current and stored DTC's. Road test vehicle. Voila.

Explains why the rpms dropped to around 400-500 while at idle and wanted to stalle. What would cause the ps fluid to turn a milk coffee color then and spray out of the pump?

The fluid is cavitating. What's causing it to cavitate could be a number of things. Whatever that reason is could cause it to "spray out of the pump".

What could cause it to cavitate and what is the best way to get all the crap fluid out?
