Had the exact same problem with Corksport

i installed the CorkSport LED package that came, pics to come after tonight...one problem though that i'm going to talk to corksport about, the backseat map lights do not fit properly. The board for the 4 LEDs is too long to fit between the 2 leads and still lay flat for brightest angle. When installing, one of the leads popped up and i saw a small spark...taking it up to mazda tomorrow to see how much it is to fix this lead. (sad2)

They will probably have to replace the whole mechanism in the roof

im still having trouble installing this kit (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Daytime-Running-Light-For-Lexus-IS-GS-SC-p/led_sku45_r4.htm) on my DRL's. I even ordered new decoders too and they are still doing the same problem. When i put the car in drive only like 5 led's light up. But when i put the high beam function on all of them light up. I even matched up the decoders positive to positive. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM DOING WRONG I HAVE TRIED IT 50 TIMES NOTHING WORKS. I ORDERED THIS KIT BECAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE ON THIS THREAD SAID ITS VERY BRIGHT AND WORKS ON THE CX-5.

I am having the same problem with the LED bulbs on the DRL. Do you have a solution for the issue?

Do you have pictures? I was trying to reproduce what I thought you were talking about but cannot. I don't think there are different map lights in different models but I suppose that is a possibility.

No pics, just got back from Mazda dealer, what happened was, there is a small piece of plactic that holds the leads down so u can put pressure against bulb to insert it. It broke. But be it known that even if u are assured by the service manager that it will be covered by warranty, it's not necessarily true. And I quote the owner of Dick Barker Mazda in Houma, LA, Sam,"the warranty was voided because you removed the bulb." Yes you heard me correctly. I removed the bulb which voided the warranty on that light fixture.....WTF!!!!

I had the same problem. I don't think the tolerances are the same for all pieces. It is ok on some cars and on some cars it is not. One recommendation for putting them in; make sure your pull fuse 56 under the hood. I mistakenly thought that leaving th lights off when replacing the fuse is sufficient. I was wrong. The is + 12vdc and the negative signal available at all time in the light sockets (even with the light off) that can trip the fuse when replacing the bulbs. This is especially important for the light in the back because that light goes through some sort of module and you can easily short that module out.

Well nothing shorted in mine, just the lil plastic piece that holds the lead down popped off so the negative lead was inaccessible in the overhead

As soon as you replace something factory for aftermarket they can vois the warranty. They did when I change my headlights bulbs in my 2. Some moisture got in and they voided my headlight warranty. Nvm I've done a retrofit since:)

FYI, Bulbs and certain other modules are end user replaceable modules. They are being shady and you need to call Mazda USA to rectify. I had a case like that with my previous Mazda, I ended up being right and the Dealer was a bit p/o'd.

question...whats the trick to pull out those license plate bulbs? spend 30mins removing the cover was easy,,but was unable to pull those bulbs out...not much room to reach...ia there any tools needed...let me know...

just gotta pull hard. no trick or tool, its a simple wedge bulb.

Does anyone know what kind of light is in the exterior mirrors and how you can change them?

Workin with corksport about kit lights being too big in rear domes
Yea, I found that out the hard way; orderd 5x 3022-bhp4 (blue) from superbright, and i messed around and pushed the festoon bracket up, and blew a fuse installing the rear light. Luckly the cover for the hood fuse compartment has spares in it. Couldn't even start the motor lol. Going to try to get smaller ones today.
