JaLMP5 Build/Progress Thread

Appreciate it! I'm looking forward to getting those big brakes that you guys developed too, hopefully sooner rather than later. But here's a pic of what I got in today.

where did you buy it and how much???

^ This would be correct. Great guy to buy from, he kept me up to date on the order and the package came in perfect condition.

So I placed an order with CR3 for an AEM Twin Fire Ignition module and 4 CDI pencil coils. Hopefully they can get here by the end of this week and I can get the car running. But until they get here I guess I can get the other list done.
1) Remove cruise control
2) Remove unused Vac lines, sensors.
3) Mount Haltech on to fire wall and clean up cables/wires.
4) Hopefully, re-route the wire harness to clean up the bay.

I think there's more but nothing I can't do later on.

Sorry for the lack of updates but have been busy with the family. Have a 2 month old and 3 1/2 year old so car has limited time to get worked on. But to satisfy here are some pictures. Plastic cover is there until I can get the valve cover powder coated and the IC piping painted. Then I'll be going gold and white.

Them lights look good
I love them, but right now I've been admiring them on the book shelf. Have all the bulbs and all to install but trying to finish the engine bay.
Looks pretty good. How soon till its on the street?
Working on the map right now but I'm waiting on an AEM ignition amplifier and CDI C.O.P's in order to fire. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

Love that mani... Sick! You're gonna want to wrap that upper radiator hose...The heat even got to be too much for my samco unwrapped.

So the wiring for the CDI is quite simple

From passenger side to drivers side I wired the injectors

1-2-3-4 and the coils the same...

I worked out the actual firing order in the Haltech software.

I originally had the multi strike disabled but then flipped the switch on and it ran with fewer hesitation

The large power wire has constant power from the battery
the smaller wire (the one that activates the module) is tied to the relay on the Haltech called ignition.

You van reduce the fuse in the Haltech fuse panel for the ignition from 20a to 5 or 10a if you like

You are no longer powering the coils with the relay, just turning them on

I plan on doing that once I replace the radiator with the Mishimoto. I honestly didn't think about it possibly melting.
I feel your pain. I have an almost 6 year old and my son turned 2 months old today
It definitely makes it hard those stretch of days that I can only stare at the car knowing I can't work on it. But I'm always thinking about it.

Thanks Brian, appreciate all the help. Should have the AEM in about 2-3 weeks. So when you say you worked out the firing order are you talking about under the main setup page and would it change from 1,3,4,2 with the AEM setup?

It does suck because right now it's sitting on jackstands in the garage, with a pile of parts next to it just begging to be installed.
