Don't run anything other than a stock 3 point belt unless you have roll over protection... Such as a roll bar or full cage

Why does it matter? If you have racing seats and a harness bar wouldn't that work as well? I am not being a smart ass here I am curious.

No worries lol a full racing harness is designed to strap you in so you can't move at all in any direction. In the event of a roll over in a car with no roll over protection the roof will cave in, and a three point OEM belt will allow you to escape to the side, or slightly forward so your spine is not crushed. A racing harness will not. And lastly most highway rescue crews are not trained to deal with a full racing harness if you happen to be wearing it while driving on the street. My Civic has a Sparco seat and roll bar and i run the OE 3 point on the road and the track, the seat keeps me in place just fine.

Ahhhh! I see! No one really explained it like that. That makes sense. Riding in Marc's RX-7 with the 5 points made me want belts again. I wasn't going anywhere after I was belted in. I could barely reach to close the door. Damn, that was a fun ride along, Marc...

In other news, I ordered my JDM KL curve-neck this morning from JDM Engine Zone. I'm not going to count my chickens before they hatch though, I'll be more excited when it arrives and passes inspection. But still a little excited. :)

Totally makes sense. Thanks for spelling it out for us.

Just a quick pic from last night.

It's funny because by next spring I'll have my own Speed3 that I've built. muhaha...

God damn the MS3s are big. I am always reminded when my friends '10 MS3 is next to my protege.

New cars are big. My 2004 Mazda3 Sedan is slightly larger than my 2002 P5. Also, my P5 next to an older MR2 which is slightly smaller, then my P5 next to newer cars. Any clue why my 5-door wagon can fit inside a modern 4 door car?

Yeah, they're fatties but I still love 'em. The body lines are so sexy and these two in particular sound and look amazing. The red one spits flames. haha

My Mazda3 has the 2.3L and can haul some butt, but it's so soundproofed and it's drive-by-wire so I can't feel anything. Yeah the speedometer goes up fast, but I'd rather take my p5 through corners and enjoy the drive

Busy weekend.

I got my motor Friday afternoon from JDM Engine Zone out of Jersey. It was $665 shipped to my residence in Ohio. After placing my order Wednesday morning, they emailed me that afternoon saying there was a chip in the front VC and if I still wanted it, but it was their last one. I asked them to knock $20 off and they did. It was their last JDM KLDE so beggers can't be choosers. Plus I have spares of a lot of things anyway. The long block isn't in the best of shape. A lot of the solenoids on the IM were busted, the Disty is banged up, the PS hardline is bent, and a few other minor things. If I was starting from scratch I'd be a little bummed, but again, for $665 shipped, I can't complain. Besides a lot of these parts will be used as cores for new ones anyway. The important part, the motor, looks pretty darn good, so I'm happy.

How it came when Phen signed for it.

I popped the valve covers to check it out. Front bank looks really good.

Rear bank looks really good too. Woo-hoo!

I popped the old valve covers off my old KL from the Milly, cleaned them up really well (they were super gross, I should've snapped a before pic) and painted them with wrinkle black paint again. Then baked them for an hour.

"Evan, dinner's ready! It's your favorite. Valve covers and cheese!" - my girlfriend

I cleaned up the letters with my Dremel. They turned out pretty well.

I'm sticking with the same color scheme I had on the last swap. :)

I also painted my rebuilt tranny with black caliper paint.
