Mazda Extended Protection Plan (MEPP) discontinued?

Hi, new to the forum, and wasn't sure where else to ask this, so here goes:

I picked up a CX-5 last night and foolishly purchased the third-party extended warranty. Looked up the policy provider and found horror stories of the company denying legitimate claims. Luckily, I should be able to cancel the policy without too much fuss.

So, I looked for a Mazda-backed policy and found the MEPP. However, the only reference on the mazdausa site is a dead page. Searching around google, it seems there was some kind of change in February, but couldn't find what that change was. Was it discontinued?

MEPP was backed by Ford, actually. Mazda discontinued MEPP, and the only option they provide is the prepaid "Total Advantage" program.

So "Total Advantage" for pre-paid maintenance, but nothing for warranty anymore, eh?

As far as I know, they only offer third party warranties now. The company that used to service MEPP was Easycare http://www.easycare.com/

Easycare was at one point owned by Ford, but I'm pretty sure Ford spun them off.
