Turbo Rotary Mazda B2600i Minitruck Build!

Yes i have the whole harness. Keep in mind i have to blend the functions of the truck to the rx7 harness. But this shouldnt be bad for like u said u can wire them all seperately!

I will be needing lots of your help with the wiring Jon!
I'm here to help!

I'm really not familiar with the AEM, but with my Haltech it's almost completely separate from the rest of the wiring harness. The only common points are two 12V switched signals and some grounding points. I ended up using same switched 12V signal from the ignition switch that went to the stock ECU for my Haltech and relays. The new relays have their own fuse box and dedicated 12V supply from the battery. The flying lead harness that came with the Haltech provided most of the wires needed for the coils, injectors, IAT sensor, water temperature sensor, TPS, and crank angle sensor. All I have to supply is power and ground for the coils and power for the injectors.

Wat do i need to do to mount the turbo an my b2200 i have a13b
The answers are in this thread! And i emailed u back...

the aem uses the factory harness and u just have to alter a few small things. I need to get the manual fir it. Maybe ill get on that right now...

alright well i finally got some free time on a very bad windy day and got my internet on my computer working again...

so heres some updates from the last few weeks or so!

so i wanted to start working on sheeting in my new bed and getting it ready for primer and such, so i made sure i still knew how to weld, and cut out the existing usable stuff from the broken bed and started putting together my new bed.

i must say how much better i get at fabrication every year and this bed floor and other things i build this summer are going to be better thought out and super sick!

heres what i started with on the old bed

all cut out. this bed is pretty much just trash now. will be going to the scra yard for beer money!

7147440063_4192f78102_c.jpg

i had gotten these sheetmetal side filler pieces for free and so i decided i was going to use them for extra strength and to give me something more to weld to on the bedsides...

7147435795_c36d9b3b39_c.jpg

they will need some trimming to fit my wheels, but this gives a good idea for now...

7001350034_bbed8b0a9f_c.jpg

will be keeping the majority of the stock bedfloor, but will have to raise it a bit for the bodydrop. my last bed lacked a lot of structural support thus the reason for the stock floor to stay...

7001349258_008256c5f1_c.jpg

the messy garage was bothering me. i got a shed for a reason...

7001348354_cbd9d92474_c.jpg

my welder was giving me fits. i was really out of practice, and forgot how to fine tune. but i got it figured out using the side sheet as practice lol.

7001346216_aa24854bd8_c.jpg

i was bustin ass on the truck and the neighbor kids showed up... they wanted to chill in my truck. figured it was fine and they would get out after ten minutes or so. they sat in there for almost an hour. they kept calling my shifter a dong...

finding salvageable 1x1 square tubing from the previous bed floor to reuse for the new floor. turns out that i changed my bracing plans, so a lot of this is scrap now...

bracing it in. this will also hold my fuel cell and i have some other surprises to come later..

7238451400_4bb1ffbd5e_c.jpg

this s*** is solid, and im not even done bracing it yet...

7238448948_a33516afdd_c.jpg

getting some vertical support for the rear. will gusset this later after i move the floor up. the back will be a storage compartment. more on that later...

well, i needed to get the trashed bed off, but all my friends have moved away or dont have time to help out or whatever, so i just decided to hack the bed into pieces so i could remove it...

front of old bed

7238368346_13c9b9af36_c.jpg

the rear after i cut out the existing roll pan and tailgate delete. not sure if imma use this or run a tailgate as of yet, but im leaning towards a tailgate but cant find one in good shape to save my life...

7238373606_07fea3fba4_c.jpg

my tail light fillers. these are bad, but i wasnt gonna pay $180 for the good ones. i can make these work. just have to add a few body lines in to them...

7238377650_130a28788d_c.jpg

the skin on the new bed. doubt imma use this. kinda sad that this will prolly just go in the trash...

7238381194_d2085f0af7_c.jpg

a shot of the garage...

7238359626_751a83bc96_c.jpg

picked up some new tools. heres my new 1 ton cherry picker.

7238681014_1805397cdd_c.jpg

picked this compressor and hose up off the street corner for $100. cambell hausfeld ftw!!!!

7270435996_377a8564a6_c.jpg

then my blurry box showed up from summit.

7270433948_f6fce72824_c.jpg

my ridiculously overpriced mounting brackets for my fuel cell. if i wouldve known this was all there was then i would have made my own brackets... what a joke. and this picture makes my carpet look hella dirty. wtf? lol

7270431470_42e8af4136_c.jpg

now i just need some fitting and to run new fuel lines and get a bigger fuel pump!

im hoping to get out in the garage tomorrow and get some more welding done so i can get the bed on the frame and start body dropping it and get the cab off to be fully welded also. this thing is really close to being able to be started. once i get fuel then i can hook up some wiring and a battery and see if this engine runs!

other than that, its just a lot of welding and hopefully one day i can splurge and buy a tank of argon so i can get going on my intercooler piping.

i will be on the look out for a new tailgate and a rear bumper since i think i wanna run a rear bumper. been thinking of running a 4runner rear bumper and welding it in smooth to the rear end, but i havent compared the body lines and such to see how much work it would actually be. so his may not happen, as i just want to be done fabbing on this truck and get it running!

im excited i can finally start using air tools, so that should help a bit.

thats it for now, but i will hopefully keep this updated more now that its summer and my computer works again...

well i came home from work yesterday and was super motivated to work on the truck(even skipped the gym )

so i started getting things ready to put the new bed on the frame and check for clearance since i knew i was gonna have a bunch of issues.

so when i was pulling stuff off my frame i decided i was gonna mock up my intercooler piping since i hadnt even taken it out of the box since i had gotten it lol.

7299287236_4b9356315e_c.jpg

so then i got the bed lifted off of the saw horses and set it on the ground. i used the cherry picker cuz i thought it would work, but needless to say, it didnt work worth a ****...

7299294834_6eb28fb62b_c.jpg

7299222414_b73bae486e_c.jpg

and here it is set on the ground and made sure everything was still square and level...

7299289076_0b3f32a51a_c.jpg

started checking for where i could put my fuel cell. this is a RCi 16 gallon fuel cell. i wanted to put it here, but for driveline issues and the floor still has to be raised for the bodydrop and such, this location will not work. damn the luck...

7299291558_c694f95300_c.jpg

7299220496_977cdc93f9_c.jpg

it really sucks, cuz a lot of thise stuff in the rear is going to be in the way and i want to redo it so bad and do a rx7 irs, but im not digging back in to the suspension even though it is outdated. i just want to get this thing in a rolling complete chassis and be done, so i decided to cut everything that will be in the way out of the way and make it work...

the battery box needed to be removed so i could mount my fuel cell in the back...

7299218462_26c7d7fd86_c.jpg

battery box gone. the frame will be ground smooth and powdercoated once all this s*** has been taken care of. i still need another compressor....

7299215854_fa1805ba96_c.jpg

fuel cell mocked up. will be raised as high as possible to prevent any chance of it catching fire....
still quite a bit of stuff that needs to be moved, but this was good enough for now...

7299213706_80fe6d8f14_c.jpg

put the bed on with the help from my wife since its impossible to get any of my friends over here to help me do anything on this truck...

my daughter was happy to see the bed go on...

7299211076_bf63d1b9c5_c.jpg

just exactly what i didnt want to do to this bed, but i had clearance issues, so things had ot be cut to make room. dont worry, when the floor has been lifted for the bodydrop, this will all be plated back in!

7299208904_e36f156279_c.jpg

7299206006_970e1192f4_c.jpg

heres the difference in a stock height bed and the 5 1/2+ inches of bodydrop that thie cab has. i still have to cut 2 inches out of the bottom of the sheetmetal on this bed so it matches up with the cab and plate it all in. more on that later...

7299203338_67b2dbefcf_c.jpg

i will build around the 4 link and other stuff, and have to cut a hole for my compressor and airtank and all that jazz, but here the bed is before the rest of the floor is cut and dropped to bring it down for the body drop. i havent decided if i want to stock floor the bed or do a traditional body drop on it, but either way there will be a lot of welding and a lot of capping...

fun fun...

7299200780_d5606a937e_c.jpg

gonna go out in the garage tonight and brainstorm since i have to be up real early for work tomorrow and we have guests coming into town tomorrow night and will be here all weekend, so im sure nothing much will get done, but if something happens, i will update this thing!

Great update on the build. I cant wait for the "I fired it up" build update.

You da man! Are you going to have to get a full tank of argon? I'd check Craigslist, I've seen a few full tanks going on there in my area.

This is awesome.
Thanks man!
Great work man! I can really see it coming together.
slowly but surely

lol. Life keeps slowin me down. Just so damn busy. It seems like all my time away from work is so damn busy...

been watching craigslist.

I dont need a huge tank, but just a small one would suffice....
They want $250 for a small tank locally. s**** ridiculous!

So i got a but of motivation last night for the build. I open up my new issue of Minitruckin magazine and theres a picture of my truck in the show coverage from the last show i went to!

So u guys should go buy the new issue, cuz im pretty much famous lol.

I realize its not really a big deal, but its a good start imo. Needless to say the wife was pretty damn excited!
