Help installing shiftlight

I just got a small Raptor shift light, and not sure where to connect the green wire on my Mazda2. I'm not good when it comes to electrical issues. After reading the instructions, where is the tach output lead located? Or when they are talking about the coil they mean either one of the four coils?

Somebody mentioned the cigarette lighter cable also?

Any inputs?

Thanks

Yes, coil means any of the coil packs. You're basically installing a tach which I haven't done since around 1980. Crawling under the dash and trying to find the wire for the oem tach "might" be the easiest. It's reading off the chip as expected since my scangauge shows the rpms too. I'd have to pop the hood and stare at the COPs to see whether they're even an option. In the old days it was simple with one stand-alone coil which had brass nuts you could just add the wire.

Cigarette lighter cable would just be a possible power source.

Looking at the coils I see three cables colors red with blue, black with white and full black I checked power running on the red one. How to know which one of the other two ones I need to use for the coil?
