The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Nice find Josh! Looks clean and taken care of. Obviously someone cared about the car's appearance to paint the calipers and such. But why did the clutch need replaced at 82k? Makes me worry about mine!

I asked him about that, but again, he kept talking over me and I could barely understand him. My best take was his wife burned the clutch up. Something about her being flat footed and not being able to work the pedals properly or something.

Congrats Pablo! As for the gym membership, wouldn't you be more inclined to work out if you was paying. Sure if you don't work out when it is free it is no big deal, but if you are paying for it then you will be more inclined to get your $ worth out of it?

Does anyone know of a how to or number of bends, degrees, and lenghts for a FMIC for a MSP. When I put my FMIC on ina couple weeks I want it to look legit and not thrown together. I think I'm going to go with a polished and orange engine bay theme. Thinking about polished valve cover, IC piping, and CAI with orange vac lines, hotwires, amd strut bar. I'm going to have to strip the blue paint off the AEM that I have and polish it.

I missed the whole second half of the post...how do you plan on running the piping? through the rad support? I thought I had a pic of how I did it but can't find it. On the hot side I have a from the ic-90* coupler-pipe cut to fit with 90* bend that's angled up about 45*-straight coupler-cut to fit straight pipe-45* coupler-180* u pipe-turbo.

Cold side: ic-90* coupler-straight pipe cut to fit-90* coupler-bov pipe-straight coupler-90* pipe-straight coupler-maf-45* coupler-intake.

I think I could maybe use less piping and your bov/bpv might be in a different spot but this should give you an idea. There's all types of configurations here How-To-Ebay-FMIC

And josh, your looking at every 6waggon I searched before going with a p5 lol

Even this one? Has it been on CL that long and he just reposted it on the 25th?

As I search, I keep asking myself, "Why didn't Nate pick up on any of these??" haha But, I don't think your budget was as high. There are some $6000 6 Wagons, but they have 130K+...

Yep even that one, i searched auto trader, cars.com, cl, ebay, and other search things i'm sure. Most were out of budget and the logistics wouldn't work either.

That's why this one is appealing to me so much, even though it's not my first choice of color and transmission. I could spend $8000-$9000 on one, but I really really REALLY shouldn't with a baby 4 months away. LOL

Since he's had it for a while, might be ready to deal on it! Or makes me wonder what's wrong with it that it hasn't sold yet? Two sides to every coin. lol I'd like to carfax it before driving down for sure.

You guys should watch "Love the Beast" with (actor) Eric Bana about his first car then turned race car. It's a great movie.

so im currently looking into the idea of an fb rx7 instead of an fc. well not instead of, but also. i think im no longer just looking for an fc but am opening my horizons to the fb as well... i could do goood things with both,,,

or do you guys think i should just finish the protege and get it where i want, pick up a bad beater, and start saving for a speed3 in the next couple years.

Yeah, Clarkson is in the movie a bit. Did you see the movie, Will?

Other than the clip they showed on TG no, but I'm downloading it right now per your recommendation :D

Ah Truth in 24 looks awesome too. I might not get any work done tomorrow.

An FB would be sweet!

my dad convinced me outta an fb i think, he worked at mazda and got to drive a lot of their cars at the track including the rx7 tII and the 323gtx among many others and though im not sure if he had driven an fb, he said they were underpowered, live rear axled, no abs, carbed, and generally not impressive :/ i really like the way they look, the price, and the fact that they weight 2300 lbs with an interior... idk. maybe ill skip the rotary for now and save for the speed3 which will be my daily. i was really disappointed to hear those things about the fb...

Not to mention the fb's steering which was lifted from the Mazda truck of the 70's.
