What have you done to your MS3 today?

I'll sit tight with overkill, except for whatever stress the heat cycles produce, the've been stretched once
but you could easy b right
i would replace the head studs, typically they yield and stretch, especially at 100k+ no need to tempt fate with a 2nd failure

I wonder how many peeps here have measured a conrod bolt with a mike, or put a ballbearing down a stud hole prior to install

They are supposed to stretch during the install, thats basically the reason behind the exact torque specs. without going into too much detail, the stretchung puts more contacted surface area on the threads and therefore keeps the bolts in place.

and i just did some late night wiper switching and wiper fluid topping offing on the ms3 and my truck. noticed my coolant was low. not a completely empty reservoir but below the "low" point nonetheless

wondering if i should top it off or just do a complete flush altogether (60k miles). still kinda chilly out

I'll do a how to when I get off work, it turned out really well.

Did that write up in the how-to section Domino.

Yeah that is a really awesome, clean installation, good work!

Looks about as oem as you can get. i didnt know what it was at first, then i googled it. goes perfectly between that single indent that goes across the face

I guessed what it was but ended up googling to be sure as well. I read the write-up as well, pretty involved but worth it IMO.

It wasn't too bad, knowing where to put everything now, I could do it in a day. It is cool that there's room in that unit. I didn't measure the space but I'm sure you could fit a lot of other things in there: turbo timers, controllers, etc.

I find most projects are like that. The second time around they are always easier :)
