The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I guess I'm the only one who wants something new.

I want something new. The bank on the other hand says no. No biggy though, I will keep getting 5-10 year old vehicles as needed and be happy.

Congrats on the anniversary Pablo. I have been at me job for almost 13 years and I have recieved jack s***. However I did get a $5 camp chair for 1 year perfect attendance, of course the back was not attached to the frame of the chair so the first time I was going to use it the back had fallen off somewhere between my garage and the corral tent at VIR last year. End rant.
Enjoy the chocolate!

That's why I bought my Mazdas for life. The frame will have to rust and break before I sell them. lulz

Yep, same. I couldn't stand owning anything new enough to watch the value go down. The 626 can't get any worse, they're already worth nothing and the Yota will only go up as long as I maintain it. I'd rather have a couple 20 year old cars with character (I've figured out that no cars come with the motors that they should, so I'll just have to put them in there myself) than one new cookie cutter car.

I bought something new from you, I just don't drive it most of the time. Are you holding out for the focus st or the aston fusion?

I don't count that since Amber drives it the most. (lol2)

I don't know what I'd get next. I'd have to drive the ST. I still really, REALLY want a GTI, but if the ST can offer the same/better performance, I'd probably go with that since I'd probably get a better price. Megan's going to get a new car before me anyway, so I'm just living in a dreamworld right now.

A 13 Fusion with the EcoBoost would be sexy though...

Well... I'm back. I tried catching up on everything from when I left, made it two pages and said **** it because I had to laugh at some of the things being said. Not funny posts, just posts that are funny to me.

Anywho, Chile was awesome. I hope to go back, and probably will in a few months.

Lol Corey how did your snow tires do?
Suprisingly not that bad. Just have a little trouble getting up to speed.

I dig it, Corey and Nate. I mean, engine swaps really aren't that tough to do anymore. Especially if it's a direct swap, most occasions it can be done in the garage on a weekend. And motors are inexpensive for the the Protege's so why not just put a new motor in when it pops. I feel grateful I have the means and know-how to do most of the work on my cars. I mean, I've got a 2000 Mazda Millenia with ~60k for $650 and a KL. I'm always keeping an eye out for a clean P5 with a blown motor because people think a car is worthless with a bad motor. :)
My thoughts exactly. As long as the body doesn't fall off the frame and looks somewhat decent I drive it till the wheel fall off. Literally!

yeah, i hadn't read the forum in like a week and decided to only read 2-3 pages up to present and said **** it to the rest....i'm constantly blown away by how much y'all talk about.

Soooo.......the P5 is getting sold then?
lulz. Quiet you...

My front license plate holder has a stress crack in it. $7 ebay part fail...lol
I've got the same license plate frame and have had it for ~2 years without a problem. I think Nate has the same one too. How does one get a stress crack in a license plate frame, silly goose?

Glad to hear you had a good time!

I don't have a license plate frame on the front of my car, not even on the back either, so I don't know what you speak of? :D

I doubt you have the same one though...there were dozens of options on eBay, maybe I just got a thinner bracket? Or lesser quality material? Or maybe the dogs whacked it one too many times while running around it? lol

License plate bracket. My bad, turkey. That's weird. But bad nonetheless. I bet you lost 10whp when it broke.

I know....my car is so freaking slow now that I've been removing all this stuff, now this breaks! I might as well cut a hole in the floor and Flintstone it!

I wanted a white P5 SO badly when I was looking for mine. The only one I found was an auto too. That looks pretty clean and a good price, Nick.

I hate white and it's not the "sportmatic"
