The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

nice, the p5 came equipped with summer tires and I didn't get a chance to chance them. i need to find some one with a garage that lives near me

I'm not overly impressed with this thing's snow capabilities yet. It goes as long as the tires are spinning though, so I guess I can ask for much more than that. I just worry about not having ABS ...

ABS isn't a huge deal in the snow, I don't think so anyways. Manual trans cars are so much better in the snow. You control the power/gear for grip rather than just spinning and downshifts/nuetral helps a lot with braking. I haven't had ABS in the 4 years that I have had my car. It was fun rockin out bald Grasspics this morning though.

My car is a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 sport with 86,000 miles....
KBB = $12,160 Very Good
NADA = $13,150 Average

And I'm not decreasing value for mods...

I owe $10,050. I guess it's nice to know that I have about $3,000 extra, but still. I bought the car for $15,999 and it was worth around $17,000 then. And it only had 45,000 miles :(

I feel your pain Nate. Mine came with 2 summers and 2 nearly worn out all seasons. Like a fool I put the better tread (summers) on the front. I will just have to rotate them because the summers suck balls even in the rain!
Primewells FTL!

the tires i Have are same ones I had on my racingharts, not terrible in rain and not the worst last night. My problem is my winter set is on the msp and it's sitting outside of my mom's house.

yeah thats what happens, you use a car and it loses value...

I'm gonna be like Ferris Bueller and try and rewind the miles on it. But hopefully I don't push it off into a ravine

That's why I bought my Mazdas for life. The frame will have to rust and break before I sell them. lulz

I have never sold a car that runs are is divable. I've had 3 cars make it over 250k. Hopefully the MSP doesn't let me down, but if she does then she just have to get a little transplant. I love the car too much to let it go. Plus I really haven't had any problems with it. The biggest thing so far was the front wheel bearings and the rear sway bar clamps snapping. I don't think 'll have any more issues with the rear clamps any more. Heavily Modified FTW! Some may call it overkill, but I call it money well spent.

I dig it, Corey and Nate. I mean, engine swaps really aren't that tough to do anymore. Especially if it's a direct swap, most occasions it can be done in the garage on a weekend. And motors are inexpensive for the the Protege's so why not just put a new motor in when it pops. I feel grateful I have the means and know-how to do most of the work on my cars. I mean, I've got a 2000 Mazda Millenia with ~60k for $650 and a KL. I'm always keeping an eye out for a clean P5 with a blown motor because people think a car is worthless with a bad motor. :)

I have found a downside to owning a p5 and a msp, the keys are exactly the same and I often put the wrong on in the ignition.

I received this today even though I still have a couple of weeks to go, it a chocolate bar! It's supposed to be marked inside as well, but I don't know what it says yet

I guess I'm the only one who wants something new.

I bought something new from you, I just don't drive it most of the time. Are you holding out for the focus st or the aston fusion?
